Texas AG Ken Paxton warns Biden administration after defeating 'sham impeachment': 'Buckle up'
Fox News ^ | 9/16/23 | Andrea Vacchiano

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released a scathing letter directed towards the White House after he was acquitted of state impeachment charges Saturday.

Paxton, a Republican, was accused of corruption, bribery and unfitness for office by a bipartisan group of Texas state senators. All 12 Democrats in the jury voted for his impeachment, along with two Republicans: Sens. Robert Nichols and Kelly Hancock.

The attorney general was accused of misusing his political power to hire Nate Paul, a real estate developer who employed Paxton's alleged mistress Laura Olson. Paul was indicted in June for allegedly making false statements to banks.

Paxton was also accused of dereliction of duty, retaliating against former employees who reported his alleged wrongdoings to authorities and making false statements in regard to whistleblower accusations from former staffers.

The jury needed 21 votes to confirm the impeachment, but a two-thirds majority was not reached. The vote finished just before 1 p.m. Saturday.

"The sham impeachment coordinated by the Biden Administration with liberal House Speaker Dade Phelan and his kangaroo court has cost taxpayers millions of dollars, disrupted the work of the Office of Attorney General and left a dark and permanent stain on the Texas House," Paxton's letter read.

"The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt," the embattled attorney general added.

Paxton then accused the White House of promoting "lawless policies" and promised that President Biden will be "held accountable."

"Finally, I can promise the Biden Administration the following: buckle up because your lawless policies will not go unchallenged," the statement read. "We will not allow you to shred the constitution and infringe on the rights of Texans. You will be held accountable."

. . . along with two Republicans: Sens. Robert Nichols and Kelly Hancock.

Sad that Texas has their very own Cheney and Kinzinger.

It is good this did not pass but it is a damned shame it even happened in the first place. It shows how the Democrats and RINOs have weaponized our legal system, both the courts and legislatures.

It also shows how bribery, money laundering and influence peddling by the Biden family will go unpunished as it is all political power struggle now and honest inquiry be damned.

Well, aren’t things going to be awkward when Paxton walks into the office Monday morning? I wonder how many resignation letters from those employees that supported the impeachment will he discover in his “in box”? Certainly his accusers have at least THAT much integrity remaining. Right?

The Bush family are evil garbage. Their defeat is cause for happiness. They should now go and crawl back into the rotting clubhouse with their friends the Clintons and Obamas, truly corrupt haters.

Two Republicans: Sens. Robert Nichols and Kelly Hancock knew what they were doing. End their careers.

AG Paxton: Go after Chuckie Schumer. He encouraged assassination of a Supreme Court Judge! Not a joke!

Is there a Federal Grand Jury in Austin Texas meeting to indict Ken Paxton?

Would not be surprised, these people are the same scum as the rest of the Rats in this country.

Rabid democrats fed and nourished by rinos, like K.Rove and the Bush clan.

Local media eating their words this morning here in TX, as they have been assuring us for three months that Paxton is a goner. Over and over we have heard their ridiculous accusations to attempt to influence Paxton’s voters that he is the epitome of evil.

One article accused Paxton of using Paul to provide extensive renovations to his kitchen -cabinets and counters etc. In return, Paul was supposed to get legal help and $ from Paxton. The fella testified he heard the “phone conversation” several years ago.

Imagine the fella’s surprise when defense attorney placed two photos into evidence- one before photo of kitchen cabinets and counter taken several years ago, and one recent photo of same. No change.

Just a sample of the garbage articles.

It still BLOWS MY MIND that this happened. Like did ANY of the House leaders check with the State Senate to see if they had any interest in removing him, and if not, why vote in a way that will end one’s career?

I doubt that very much. Maybe two or three will resign but that’s about it. Remekeep in mind that these are government employees and are incapable of producing anything of value and the private sector will not hire or pay them the same outrageous wages as the gubmint.

They don’t care about stuff like that. Character assignation is all they need. They had him out of action for 3 months while the cartels and the Biden administration raped the US through Texas.
