A bully who admitted harassing her teenage schoolmate to suicide after months of relentless torment now works as a nurse where her victim was treated.
Kayla Narey, 31, was dubbed one of America's most hated people after pleading guilty to a targeted campaign of harassment against Phoebe Prince in 2010.
She avoided a prison sentence and has since rebuilt her life by marrying and getting a job as a nurse at Baystate Medical Center, where Phoebe was treated for an unsuccessful suicide attempt months before her tragic death.
Phoebe, who was just 15 when she died, was targeted after she moved to Massachusetts from Ireland in 2009 and briefly dated Narey's then-boyfriend Sean Mulveyhill.
Both Mulveyhill and Narey pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor criminal harassment of Phoebe in 2011, with four other teens named as part of the 'South Hadley Six' ultimately having their cases dropped.
In now-deleted posts from her social media, Narey has regularly posted updates of her achievements since the court case, smiling with family members.
She bragged about graduating college in 2015, and about her nursing career at the medical center during the pandemic.
Narey posted a picture of herself hugging her mother Susan at her bachelorette party in June last year - one of the many milestones Prince's mother was robbed of sharing with her daughter.
She continues to use social media, despite being condemned for tormenting Phoebe online in the run-up to her death - and even posting crowing comments gloating in the youngster's subsequent suicide.
Anne O'Brien told the court in a victim impact statement when Narey and Mulveyhill were sentenced that her daughter's death would stay with her 'until the day she dies'.

I don’t remember this case, but the article is unreal. No way would I want this sicko anywhere near me if I were unfortunate enough to wind up in her hospital.
She’s looking pretty tubby in the recent pics. It’d be a shame if someone tormented her over her newfound fatness.
This happened two towns up the valley from me.
15 year old bullies shouldn’t be tolerated. But when they are in their thirties and they are living a decent life…they should be left alone.
And by most local accounts, Phoebe was no saint. She made about every social faux pax that you could make in a new high school. The only difference between this case and a thousand others just like it in the past hundred years was the social media aspect.
Dragging this woman’s life through crap again is not warranted.
This “nurse” should be in jail and she will no doubt kill many more people working at a hospital. She chose that profession on purpose. Please read up on sociopathy and psychopathy, they present at a young age and never change. The Sociopath Next Door, is a great book to start. The bullied girl did not deserve suicide - very backward.

The kid was from another country and probably suffering culture shock. I can only imagine.
I remember some of foreign exchange students we had in high school. That French bitch never took a bath, had hairy armpits and legs, greasy mop on her head, and always put down America. I wanted to tell her “next time Germany invades your country you will speak German the rest of your life” but I held my tongue.
The rest of this group all went on to have other legal troubles. One convicted of rape. Sounds like they were bad seeds if you ask me.

No one is giving this woman a pass. But, this article sounds like it was written by Phoebe’s family. Why would anyone take the time to track this woman down, years later to drag this shit up again?
I guess because folks like you can be outraged again. The lesson learned here is that sometimes the victims do little to help their cause. No one deserved to be bullied to the point of suicide, but this chick wasn’t right from the start.

I’m old enough to know that no matter who little Miss Priss thought she was her boyfriend was NOT her personal property and he chose to go out with other girls. I’m old enough to know that they were just having a teen age fling, and it was not the love of all ages. Notice she married someone else, and not that boy?
I’m also old enough to know that if he stepped out with her on Phoebe he did it with other girls as well. If little Miss Priss had had any sense about her back then she would have beat up her boy friend and not Phoebe. As my Grandmother once said to me about boys like that, “Put him on the shit list” (Yes she actually said that too)
I will say this, what comes around goes around.

I do agree with you and you know what? I’m shocked she’s not working in the abortion industry.
Sh**storm all around that social clique. None of them seemed repentant for their behaviour. Victim not too smart to be skanking around. These kids are trash.
She could start killing preemies like the other nurse over there instead of teens.

So I just watched the story on the YT link above. Beautiful girl. Really awful how she was relentlessly tormented. She had no escape. Not at school. Not walking home. Not at home via texts and the internet. Tragic that her mother brought her family there/here to the US. Not sure what kind of person the subject of this article is today, but knowing the details of this story, I don’t think I’d want her near me or a family member in a hospital setting.

A lot of meanness going on out there. These are all different stories of kids, some as young as 8, 9, 10 years old, who killed themselves after experiencing bullying in some fashion. Surprised at how many killed themselves by hanging.
