Not since the gay rainbow packaging.

Hope they disappear.

Yeah the “fast casual” (what they’re calling the new bread of stuff that is still faster and more portable than short order but not FAST FAST FAST like the McD model) is a major revolution. They’ve found a real sweat spot with food better than the fast places, and not actually that much slower. Especially with online ordering. And that new model of “you can still eat quickly, and not feel shame” is really destroying the fast food joints.

Well, in Australia “Macca’s” also does very well.

The Chick FIL A in my area put in two extra driveup lanes. They have workers outside with tablets who come up to your car to take your order. A little farther down the line a worker comes to your car to take your payment. For the amount of traffic going through, it’s very fast. The order is always correct, the food is hot and consistently good and the staff is neat, friendly and smiling. Couldn’t be better!

The worst place in town is Popeye’s. Last time I went, I was trapped in the driveup lane for over twenty minutes and when I got home found a couple items missing from the order. Never again...

Good. They should be out of business

The fact they are the single biggest franchisee for BK tells me the BK corporate offices don’t give a damn about their brand its products or service.

I don’t walk into any fast food place expecting 5 star quality or service but Tom’s King consistently is below 1 star.

How they got to be the single biggest franchisee of BK is just unfathomable… sadly the locations around me are all Tom’s King, so BK isn’t even a option for me on the rare occasion I go for fast food. Honestly I don’t understand how they haven’t had their franchise license revoked. They are too big that corporate can be unaware of how badly their stores operate… so corporate has to know and just not care

They should replace them with los Pollos Hermanos franchises.

Fact is there are fewer people applying for such jobs. Places are begging for employees, even at $14/hours or more.

Major corporations are having the same problem. One major corporation I worked at until recently had 200+ resumes for every job posting. By the end of 2020, there were job postings with no resumes. None, for more than six months.

One of their biggest franchisees is Tom’s King something like 100 stores, and every one of their restaurants I have ever set foot in has been a disaster… poor service, lousy food, long waits, etc etc.

The fact this franchisee has had its license revoked proves BK doesn’t give a damn about quality or service at the corporate level.

My local Del Taco had a banner advertising $20/hr. starting pay for night shift employees.

Still, no takers, I bet. Around here fast food is advertising $12-$14 and hour, and few takers.

All fast food restaurants are struggling for employees except maybe Chick-fil-a.

I watched a Dave Ramsey video last night. In it they discussed the over 7 million young men in America that are unwilling to work. These young men are living with their parents, some are “homeless”, but most are just unwilling to work entry level jobs, even if they pay relatively well.

It is my experience that they have unrealistic expectations created by a coddling upbringing featuring participation trophies and “A’s” for showing up. They feel they deserve a $60K job - with little actual work or responsibility - and as long as they can exist without it, they will wait for it.

I just had a 29 year old “kid” with no experience expect to be made the manager of my company earning $20 an hour to start. When a reasonable plan was presented that had him training in the different departments, leading - over two years or so - to the general management position, he pitched a fit and walked out.

Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good balance is the key word.

Trade off this for that is a daily event to keep things in order.

I would take Burger King over McDonalds any time better and more of a selection.

Here in Los Angeles at McDonalds it’s normal seeing the help with tats and sloppy speech.
Must be discount help from rehab centers.

So happy that Shock G didn’t live to see this - no more BK bathrooms to “get busy” in.

Yummy! I do like places that can make food better than we could at home.

The problem with fast food is that I can make a steak and baked potato at home cheaper and faster than going out to fast food for a cardboard burger and fries.
