Ben Stiller took a stand on the controversial 2008 film "Tropic Thunder" Tuesday, responding to a tweet alleging he had apologized to the "woke" cancel culture mob for participating in the film.
"I make no apologies for Tropic Thunder. Don’t know who told you that. It’s always been a controversial movie since when we opened. Proud of it and the work everyone did on it," Stiller tweeted.
The post came in response to a conservative user named Benny S. after left-wing users blasted the film, and demanded it be removed from streaming services.
He wrote, "@BenStiller Please stop apologizing for doing this movie. It was and still is funny AF... Even funnier now with cancel culture the way it is. It's a MOVIE. Ya'll [sic] can just get over it. I was DYING laughing when I first saw it back in the day and so was everyone else."
Along with the caption, the user posted a screenshot of another tweet from his account, discussing how "liberals are trying to ‘cancel culture’" the film and circulating another claim that Stiller had apologized for it.
"When the Wayans Brothers made ‘White Chicks…. nobody said a dang thing!!!! STOP APOLOGIZING FOR THIS STUFF!!!!" one quote from the image read.

He is correct, of course. I wish he hadn’t virtue signaled with Zelvis, but hey it is a free country.
I found it to be one of the best movies out of Hollywood in decades. A mockery of Hollywood.

Robert Downey Jr. in BLACKFACE, for starters, intellectually disabled Simple Jack character, among other stuff.

Tom Cruise plays a stereotypical Jewish producer who amazingly enough was more acceptable a character than the literal Jerk Off Harvey Weinstein.
Sounds like I need to add an entry on my “To Watch” list. Love me some good razzing of Hollywood.
Tom Cruise made up as a stereotypical grasping, bald Jewish producer / agent, dancing to “Get Back” by Ludacris. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

I had no idea it was Tom Cruise until a few years ago.
That scene is a classic. There’s a lot to be said for and against Cruise. To his credit, he looked like he was having a lot of fun with his role.

Nobody really knows what "woke" is but it's the spirit of antichrist of the Left doubling down on eating the fruit of the tree of self-righteousness, trusting in self and man's government, and a rush headlong into Worldwide Totalitarian Government and self-annihilation.
There. How's that for a good definition of "woke"?
I love whatever hates political correctness, I love what the Left hates, and I love whatever is anti-woke.
I don't know if Tom Cruise saw the character, but he was special.
