A few years back I went to the observation deck of the Burj Kalifa in Dubai. I wasn't at all impressed...for several reasons. The biggest reason is that apart from a number of butt ugly skyscrapers along that boulevard (can't recall the name) all you see is desert.

By far the best one I've visited was the original World Trade Center...the outdoors deck (on the roof),not the enclosed one just below.

Noisy jumpcut crockumentary on the construction of this tower, good info, but I couldn’t make the whole trip through it.

I’ve not been there, but the vids and stills I’ve seen from the top of the BK (I wonder how the burgers are there?) show what a crap landscape surrounds it.

You might have this one in your list already, I think this Miami one will be fun if built. Artist's rendering:

I can assure you that the burgers aren’t made of pork. The hotel I stayed at was quite good and had a great breakfast buffet. But at the buffet I found that the bacon was make of beef and the sausages were made of turkey.

But on a brighter note I saw a Bugatti Veyron Vitesse in the valet parking area at the Mall of Dubai. I thought about taking it for a spin but I’ve always wanted to die with my head attached to the rest of my body. ;-)
