MacGregor: Up until this time at night we have had freezing but during the day it has gone back up to 40 even 50 degrees. It has to drop below freezing and stay that way for at least two weeks. So if it is now below freezing and stays that way you can do the math. Your looking for something happening no earlier than the 10th; probably no later than the 19th of December. And you're talking about concentrations of Russian troops all the way around the country. We've accounted now formally, these are people who sit in front of your monitors that control satellites, and the intelligence community says it has accounted for 540,000 Russian troops.
And of that 540,000 we are talking about 5,000 armored fighting vehicles of which at least 1,500 are tanks, probably another thousand self propelled artillery, the rest infantry fighting vehicles. A thousand rockets, missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, your so called drones (unmanned attack systems.) That doesn't even begin to address the hundreds of fixed wing aircraft, hundreds of helicopters,. The helicopters will move troops obviously. There will be some ground support. Hundreds of fixed wings operating as ground support, but also bombers now. We've begun to see the use of bombers now which is something we've done for years. They're now beginning to do it and they all have precision munitions.
Judge: What you have just described must be understood and known by President Zelensky, by Ukrainian intelligence, by American intelligence, by the State Department, by the Pentagon and by the White House. What are they going to do about it?
MacGregor: Yes, well what they're trying to do is ship more equipment to the Ukrainians. The problem is the Ukrainian casualties have been horrendous; particularly over the last few months. There was an article today in the Euro News and I'm told there was another one in the New York Times describing the very, very heavy casualties. Of course the Big Lie that is always accompanied the bad new is well the Russians have taken heavy casualties, too. Nonsense, the Russians have not. That's the difference; when you are killing your enemy at a 10 to 1 ratio; which is about where it is right now in Southern Ukraine, you're not hurting at all. And the Russians aren't running out of anything. The Ukrainians are running out of everything...ammunition, spare parts, fuel, you name it. The soldiers, most of the best troops are dead or wounded and the people they are shoving forward in the defensive positions are untrained reservists. They say, well we sent 10,000 more troops to England for three weeks, you can't train a man to do much of anything in three weeks or even five weeks. You need time and time is something the Ukrainians no longer have. So the whole thing is on the verge of collapse.
“The road networks won’t support it because 1) Western artillery has made it difficult for the Russians to maintain forward supply depots, and 2) the Russians don’t control enough critical road intersections to keep enough supplies flowing to that many troops in a broad offensive.”

You want to get into moral discussions—without addressing the larger moral issue. Your discussion is about whether or not we should assist a country that’s being invaded and destroyed. I think killing invading Russians is a good thing. You think killing Ukranian civilians, old people, and kids is a good thing.
How can two obviously divergent beliefs discuss anything? If one percent of our defense budget worth destroying invading Russians who threaten Europe? I am fine with that.

Why didn't they just roll in May-September, when the ground was hard and dry? Why didn't they gain ground during the prime summer campaign months instead of lose it?

Unbelievably sad. So much wasted human life. There never was a chance that Ukraine could win this war unless NATO troops were brought in to fight and even then the outcome was “iffy.”
All of this prolonged, escalated battle done for the sole purpose of weakening Russia for the futile purpose of maintaining our diminishing hegemony.
It will be mass slaughter of Ukrainians, on a par with Germany’s loss of two million men in the frozen trenches of World War One.
Death will be everywhere.
That is not even including innocent civilian lives.

There are actually ovver 700,000 Russian soldiers in preparation of this phase of the conflict. The Special Operation will be suspended, and Russia is going to declare war on the Ukraine in order to use the regualar armed forces. To date, Russia was using 160,000 soldiers in the Sp Op. The Ukraine is going to suffer major losses.

Exactly. I read reports of Russian troops rescuing dogs so often. They rehome them in Russia.
Its not just Russia. Inflation is causing US shelters to be crammed and many states are killing nonstop.
So much sadness for innocent victims of this entire mess.

When it’s over, I hope we will find the names of the people who encouraged Zelensky to believe that if he pulled the handle on the slot machine enough, it would come up N-A-T-O.
Maybe people like Nuland, Kagan, Frum, Blinken, and the rest of the foul bunch believed it too, or wanted to.
It could be said that MacGregor fits the the definition of a false prophet and he has followers here
