Ukraine Russia War Status update - Col Doug Macgregor The whole thing is on the verge of collapse
Judging Freedom ^ | November 28, 2022 | Colonel Douglas MacGregor

Posted on 12/03/2022 5:54:45 AM PST by Cathi

MacGregor: Up until this time at night we have had freezing but during the day it has gone back up to 40 even 50 degrees. It has to drop below freezing and stay that way for at least two weeks. So if it is now below freezing and stays that way you can do the math. Your looking for something happening no earlier than the 10th; probably no later than the 19th of December. And you're talking about concentrations of Russian troops all the way around the country. We've accounted now formally, these are people who sit in front of your monitors that control satellites, and the intelligence community says it has accounted for 540,000 Russian troops.

And of that 540,000 we are talking about 5,000 armored fighting vehicles of which at least 1,500 are tanks, probably another thousand self propelled artillery, the rest infantry fighting vehicles. A thousand rockets, missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, your so called drones (unmanned attack systems.) That doesn't even begin to address the hundreds of fixed wing aircraft, hundreds of helicopters,. The helicopters will move troops obviously. There will be some ground support. Hundreds of fixed wings operating as ground support, but also bombers now. We've begun to see the use of bombers now which is something we've done for years. They're now beginning to do it and they all have precision munitions.

Judge: What you have just described must be understood and known by President Zelensky, by Ukrainian intelligence, by American intelligence, by the State Department, by the Pentagon and by the White House. What are they going to do about it?

MacGregor: Yes, well what they're trying to do is ship more equipment to the Ukrainians. The problem is the Ukrainian casualties have been horrendous; particularly over the last few months. There was an article today in the Euro News and I'm told there was another one in the New York Times describing the very, very heavy casualties. Of course the Big Lie that is always accompanied the bad new is well the Russians have taken heavy casualties, too. Nonsense, the Russians have not. That's the difference; when you are killing your enemy at a 10 to 1 ratio; which is about where it is right now in Southern Ukraine, you're not hurting at all. And the Russians aren't running out of anything. The Ukrainians are running out of everything...ammunition, spare parts, fuel, you name it. The soldiers, most of the best troops are dead or wounded and the people they are shoving forward in the defensive positions are untrained reservists. They say, well we sent 10,000 more troops to England for three weeks, you can't train a man to do much of anything in three weeks or even five weeks. You need time and time is something the Ukrainians no longer have. So the whole thing is on the verge of collapse.

We’ve spent about a percent of our defense budget. It’s not like we are selling our jewelry to pay for groceries.

Is that the best you can come up with to validate the continued spending of US taxpayer dollars to a blackhole House of Cards? Really?

When the ground freezes “permanently”, the Russian tanks will roll.

--- "We've spent about a percent of our defense budget. It's not like we are selling our jewelry to pay for groceries."

Do not let your eyes become blurred by shiny objects. Our nation adds a trillion and more in essentially CREDIT CARD spending to the national debt each year. Currently the national debt officially tops $32,000,000,000,000.

"It's not like we are selling our jewelry to pay for groceries," because we are spending our children's' and grandchildren's' money at this point.

“During intense fighting in the eastern Donbas region this summer, Russia used more ammunition in two days than the British military has in stock.”

In a stunningly unforeseen geopolitical development, Russia has *significantly* demilitarized NATO.

Military briefing: Ukraine war exposes ‘hard reality’ of west’s weapons capacity

Nations have been slow to sign contracts companies need to boost supply to Kyiv

https://www.ft.com/content/a781fb71-49bb-4052-ab05-a87386bf3d5e?shareType=nongift

Nearly 10 months into Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the allies that have backed Kyiv’s war effort are increasingly concerned by the struggle to increase ammunition production as the conflict chews through their stockpiles.

At stake is not only the west’s ability to continue supplying Ukraine with the weapons it needs but also allies’ capacity to show adversaries such as China that they have an industrial base that can produce sufficient weaponry to mount a credible defence against possible attack.

“Ukraine has focused us . . . on what really matters,” William LaPlante, the Pentagon’s chief weapons buyer, told a recent conference at George Mason University. “What matters is production. Production really matters.”

After sending more than $40bn of military support to Ukraine, mostly from existing stocks, Nato members’ defence ministries are discovering that dormant weapons production lines cannot be switched on overnight. Increasing capacity requires investment which, in turn, depends on securing long-term production contracts.

The US has sent about a third of its stock of Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine and a third of its stockpile of anti-aircraft Stinger missiles. But it has little prospect of being able to replace these quickly. “There’s no question that . . . [supplying Ukraine] has put pressure on our defence industrial base,” Colin Kahl, US under-secretary of defence for policy, said last month.

The UK has turned to a third party, which it has declined to identify, to restock its depleted stores of NLAW anti-tank missiles. “There are some really hard realities that we have been forced to learn,” James Heappey, armed forces minister, said in October.

Be assured that according to VermontLt, the spending of a few Trillion and 19.5 years fighting sheep and goat herders armed with AK 47 and rocket propelled granade launchers was chump change and well worth it....

Can’t even do the math either - it’s more like 10% (that we even know of), given the latest spending request that’s about to be rubber-stamped by Congress.

And you're talking about concentrations of Russian troops all the way around the country.

That is weird. I had not heard of any concentration of Russian troops in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, or Romania.

When the source starts with obvious hyperbole and disinformation, I tend to discredit it.

We should know for certain in a couple of weeks.

Some have claimed MacGregor is in the pay of Russia. I do not know, but it appears plausible.

“In a stunningly unforeseen geopolitical development, Russia has *significantly* demilitarized NATO.”

I’m almost thinking that’s why they dragged on the war so long. They knew if NATO could be demilitarized, then they would be in a better position for concessions, some of which will likely go beyond Ukraine.

There’s an old adage in the Chess world: “Don’t play against Russians, you’ll lose”.
