A statue of young Abraham Lincoln has been splashed with red paint with the words 'COLONIZER' and 'LAND BACK' written below it in Chicago.
The statue, which has stood in the Edgewater neighborhood since it was donated to Senn Park in 1997, also had the words 'Dakota 38' written on it.
Dakota 38 refers to Lincoln's ordered execution of 38 Sioux, who were publicly hanged for participating in the Sioux Uprising in the US-Dakota War of 1862 in Minnesota.

Uh oh. The woke mob must have figured out that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.
The 38 Sioux who were executed were just any males who happened to be anywhere in the vicinity which the army could lay their hands upon. The average “trial” lasted a grand total of 10 minutes each. This was the largest mass execution in American history.
Just another of the tyrant Lincoln’s multiple crimes. Glad to see some are finally pointing it out.
We could go on to discuss the fact that the Lakota Sioux were starving because the government did not provide the food it promised under the treaty....or that Lincoln refused to pay them the money the federal government promised under the treaty so that they could go out and buy food...or the fact that members of the Lincoln administration corruptly lined their own pockets with land seized from the Lakota and nearby Winnebago who had not even participated in the uprising but who were also ethnically cleansed just cuz by gobbling the land at knockdown prices and immediately flipping it for huge gains.....or we could talk about how the Lakota were starved again while in army concentration camps or how the army made sure to release them a few years later after the harvest season so that they would starve again.
In the late 1850s, my great-grandfather homesteaded a farm in Acton Township Minnesota, the site where the ‘uprising’ started in 1862. The residents called it ‘war’. The massacre of Acton Township residents, including women and children by the Indians began just 3 miles from the farm. The killings were unprovoked. As a child, I would go with my dad to visit the monument of the “Acton Township Massacre”. At the time of the ‘uprising’, murderers were hung, not given parole like they are today in ‘woke’ crime cesspools.
So when the Pilgrim came to America in 1621 weren’t they refugees and shouldn’t they have been welcomed with open arms by the natives?

This is more an attack on the holiday of Thanksgiving rather than specifically against Lincoln. The far left, such as these vandals, represents the cutting edge of what the establishment left is planning. Attacks on Columbus Day gave occurred by radical leftists, and urban Democratic politicians have responded by agreeing to pull down statues of the explorer and renaming the holiday Indigenous Peoples Day. As with the sexual revolution, radicals have pushed abortion, extramarital sex homosexuality, transgenderism, and pederasty followed by Democratic and RINO politicians supporting enabling legislation for immorality. The long March to destroy America continues.
Why doesn’t someone do this to the statue of Lenin in Seattle?

Condone? Not particularly. If monuments are to be removed it should be legally by elected representatives rather than by a mob.
That said in this case unlike in so many others, they actually chose one that should be removed.
I agree Lenin is a tyrant and a mass murderer. My understanding is the statue in Seattle is on private land though.
Do the statue defaced care? I mean, especially for Lenin. He was not an advocate of private property.
