Major City Schools are Violent and unsafe

Teenagers in a Maryland county blighted by violence are to be banned from the streets between 10pm and 5am during the week, it was announced on Monday, in a bid to bring rocketing juvenile crime rates down.
Angela Alsobrooks, executive for Prince George's County - which encompasses eastern Washington DC and the surrounding suburbs - said that parents could be fined up to $250 for repeated violations and children could be turned over to the Department of Social Services.
'I'm just going to put it very bluntly: Somebody has got to take responsibility for these armed and dangerous children. And it's not just the police and not just the government,' said Alsobrooks.
'We have children who are out in our communities at 3 and 4 o'clock a.m. committing these crimes.
'No summer job or government program is going to help that.'
The youth curfew is based on an existing law, and was last brought in in 1995, but Alsobrooks said current circumstances warranted bringing it back.
Alsobrooks noted an 'eye-popping' 430 arrests of juveniles this year so far - nearly double the number last year - and 84 arrests of young people for carjackings - almost the same figure as for the entire 12 months of 2021.
Under the terms of the curfew, youngsters aged 17 or under must be home between 10pm and 5am on weekdays and Sundays, and midnight and 5am on Friday and Saturday nights.
The 'cooling down period', as Alsobrooks termed it, will run for 30 days.

I can remember Trump was blamed for contaminated Peanut Butter, High winds, homeless setting fires at their illegal grow, rains, shootings, carjackings, and cold waves.
The same media never draw a line to Biden when shootings occur, or his Dem cities dwellers split open people’s heads, or a woman is snatched when jogging.
If anyone thinks the county is getting better, turn off your TV and step away from it.
If we could somehow get the guns out of the possession of Democrats there would be very few gun crimes.
So does that mean in the next 30 days a lot of parents will get fines/jail time for their kids breaking cerfew?
It was recognized as the largest, mostly middle class and most wealthy Black majority county in the United States according to Wikipedia.

Curfews aren't about solving problems, they're about shifting the problems to someone else.
Hey Hey I live here and the problems are these.
1)The county has become nothing more than a 9th ward of DC near the border.
2)The school system has always been a joke and sad to say it has gotten worst since I graduated 37 years ago.
3)Most of the parent(s) are too busy chasing luxury car and house dreams to raise their kids, so they are just running wild.
4)The County Council is full of nothing more than fake Black Progressives that have tied the Police Department’s Hands. If a crime is committed against you or your property then you simply file a police report to go with the last one.
5)Sad thing about it all is; “I went to school with Angie I know she has a good heart, but this is going to do nothing but put a band-aid on a sucking chest wound.”
I happen to live in one of the better regions of the county near the Andrews, but this is nothing more than the results of decades of failed Progressive-Socialist Politics in Black Face.

Yes - shifting it to the parents. As I heard it (I live here) she’s trying to impose some responsibility on the parents of these kids. Long overdue, but at least she’s recognizing where the problems start.
I used to live in Montgomery County. Hope PG County improve. But I wouldn't want it to be woke like MoCo. 😎
