Why has the Abe murder vanished from the news? One of the most important stories certainly of the year if not the decade it is treated like a low level crime story. Abe was truly the best and most powerful friend the US had in Japan and the westpac region. His murder is virtually on a JFK level of importance. However, the media have it seems been given the word to send the event and its possible Chinese connection down the memory hole just like the destruction of Notre Dame de Paris.

Abe's assassination must have been a shock for the Japanese. Was it as much of a shock for them as the Olaf Palme assassination was for the Swedes or the Utøya Island mass murder was for the Norwegians?
Somehow I don't think so. Sweden, Norway, and Japan pride themselves on being peaceful, close-knit countries, but I suspect the Japanese are more realistic and suspicious about what people are really capable of even in peaceful, close-knit countries.

What are they supposed to be saying? The guy is dead, the perp is caught. Story over. Also it’s on the other side of the planet and nobody in America gives a damn or even heard of the guy before he got killed. From an American media point of view this story is 150% over. Heck even from the Japanese point of view, there’s nothing to report. Abe is still dead. And no there is no possible Chinese connection.

Chinese, or, rather, China might be the wrong country. The assassin had a grudge against Abe related to the Unification Church, which is out of South Korea. The article has details if you scroll down.
Based on a quick search, a lot of the current Japanese interest is focused on the church angle of the criminal’s motivation and that’s where the reporting is focused as well.

Really, see postm27. The Chinese Foreign Minister could barely contain his glee at Abe’s death when making an official response. Abe and Chicoms, Rushdie and Iranian clerics. There truly are conspiratorial elites with long memories and absolute determination. Of course Abe and Donald Trump had a close working relationship dating back before DJT was President so the media have an interest in minimizing the significance of this event.
So they didn’t like him. That doesn’t mean they had him whacked. I was quite joyful when Epstein died, doesn’t mean I did it.

Same with the Kennedy assassination. Lone gunman was the public cover story. Actual message is that you will do as you’re told. Regardless of your office or popularity.
It’s why they’re out to get Trump. He wasn’t brought up through proper channels and refuses to play by their rules.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was in the news for months and there were no developing events.
