This explains the key elements of contemporary Russian propaganda, based on its Soviet and Cold War origins.
No matter how bad the U.S. press is, the Russian press is always worse.
How does this differ from what the USA is doing?
Good post. Thanks
Ukraine is winning the propaganda war. Not even close.
Says the Leftwing Rand Corp.
I would like to see an analysis of US propaganda, specifically propaganda used on American citizens.
The Delphi Technique: Let’s Stop Being Manipulated!
http://vlrc.org/articles/110.html
The process used to “facilitate” the meeting is called the Delphi Technique. This Delphi Technique was developed by the RAND Corporation for the U.S. Department of Defense back in the 1950s. It was originally intended for use as a psychological weapon during the cold war.
Hilarious that the professional manipulators at RAND are decrying manipulation...
sure sounds a lot like NYT,WaPo and CNN
sure sounds a lot like ABC,CBS,NBC
sure sounds a lot like AP,Rooters and DailyMail
“Distinctive Features of the Contemporary Model for Russian Propaganda
1) High-volume and multichannel
2) Rapid, continuous, and repetitive
3) Lacks commitment to objective reality
4) Lacks commitment to consistency.
We characterize the contemporary Russian model for propaganda as “the firehose of falsehood”
Thank goodness we are free from such activities by Washington DC, beacon of honesty. /s
And let me guess, America needs a way to monitor and regulate what we see here in America so we are not lead astray?
Did I guess right?
It’s. Amazing how many apologists for Russian propaganda we have here at. FR.
On that you're 100% wrong. I hear how evil and racist I am every day on the news and Europeans are disappearing from American television broadcasts and commercials at a rapid rate.
Diversity is strength, white people are evil, and perverts are glorious.
US Officials Admit They’re Literally Just Lying To The Public About Russia
I posted this on a duplicate thread, but it applies:
In my reading of the history of conflicts, there is one thing to keep in mind-in wartime: historically, propaganda is rarely a one way street.
The goods and evils may differ between various sides, but all sides do it.
By far the BEST Russian propaganda was how they CONVINCED Mueller and his 50 or so attorneys that they did not COLLUDE with Trump in the 2016 election.
We all know that Trump and Russia COLLUDED then, but still, Russia’s incredible propaganda machine somehow, some way, managed to convinced these career investigators that Trump didn’t collude.
That is HOW DANGEROUS Russia is, when it comes to propaganda.
Glad to see our media is finally CALLING OUT this Russian interference in the US!!!

Plenty of Russian propaganda right here on this site.
Actually, it sounds like a good description of how America’s Ruling Class’s information warfare proceeds:
* Multiple Channels - Yes (tv, radio, social media, government information, NGO propaganda, etc)
* Repetitive and continuous propaganda - Yes 24-7-365 for masks, vaccines, war in Ukraine, Jan 6, Russia hoax and really, anything else the ruling class wants to shove down our throats.
* No relation to objective reality - duh - Hunter’s laptop was russian propaganda and Trump colluded with the Russians.
* It’s OK to change your story in the blink of an eye. There’s no such thing as CRT. Well, ok, CRT is not taught in the schools. It is? Well, CRT isn’t bad or racist. etc etc etc on any issue.
Bluntly, Russian propaganda is easier to see and ignore because it is so obvious and heavy handed. American propaganda is much better designed and delivered. You want proof? It has most Americans believing they live in a country where the rulers require the consent of the governed.
