If you aren’t a senior, but still experiencing ‘senior moments,’ you are in good company, according to recent Wall Street Journal report.

"Our brains are like computers with so many tabs open right now," said Dr. Sara C. Mednick, a neuroscientist and professor of cognitive science at the University of California, Irvine.

"This slows down our processing power, and memory is one of the areas that falters."

‘Senior moments,’ otherwise known as fleeting bursts of forgetfulness, are becoming more commonplace, according to memory experts.

Is there anything the pandemic can’t do?

The respiratory illness which has been going around for a couple years is unfortunate.

The damage done by the government reaction is a crime against humanity.

It wasn’t the virus. It was the enforced isolation. Our fearless leaders were not only wrong, they were totally wrong.

Is there anything the pandemic can’t do?

It can't possibly cause global warming, can it?

(just kidding)

Just another vax side effect...

Although, as a totally un-vaxxed miscreant, at 88.3 it would be hard to tell any difference...🙄

My wife’s and my short term memory the past 2+ years has been abysmal. Just this past week, we both can remember, what we intended to do when we got up or sat down.

My memory skills and ability went down hill 3 Novembers ago.

I had the shingles shot and had a severe reaction. Then, I might have been one of the first Covid patients and not realizing what I had. Next, I had the 2 Pfizer shots, and a cluster of semi mild issues, and my memory went to hell. I also, had an aorta stent inserted during that time period.

Before, when shopping for a few items, I didn’t need a list for 10 or less items and things to do to or from the store.

For awhile, I might even forget the list with the items. Now I remember to take the list, and basically, I check it before shopping in the store and before getting ready to checkout.

Medium term memory like names on newer people in our lives the past 2-5 years just faded away. It is coming back for both of us.

Longer term memories, the pleasant or positive ones re family members and or friends and often the last real memories basically have come back.

I’m not waking up at 3 am trying to remember what I needed to do the next day. I run a checklist before going to sleep, and I remember the list after I wake up the next morning.

I used sequential memory skills to shoot skeet or trap, to cast a surf rod or spey casting fishing flies. My lost sequencing skill is nearly back both in memory and dry run wise and should work if and when I do try them again.
