resident Joe Biden has accepted the resignation of top White House scientist Eric Lander after an internal investigation into allegations that he bullied and mistreated staff was made public.
Biden accepted Lander's letter "with gratitude for his work at [the Office of Science and Technology Policy] on the pandemic, the cancer moonshot, climate change, and other priorities," according to press secretary Jen Psaki.
"He knows Dr. Lander will continue to make important contributions to the scientific community in the years ahead," she told reporters Monday evening.
Psaki was grilled by reporters Monday afternoon about Lander's position within the administration after a two-month investigation found what Christina Peele, the White House's deputy director of management and administration for personnel, called "credible evidence" that he had fostered a toxic work environment.
During a 20-minute briefing on the investigation, reported by Politico, Peele described Lander speaking to subordinates "in a demeaning or abrasive way in front of other staff."

I know, it took a while for me to figger this one out, since they are all like-minded Democrats, but by gum, I finally got it, he wanted them to actually work.
This admin is all form over substance. While I cannot abide by what they propose or do I have a problem with form replacing substance. I don’t care if the argument was something like “I do not GAF whether the pill box is pastel color or satin lined you dummy, I only care what is in the pills!” Some dweeb gets out of joint because the boss yelled at them in a public setting! Wow. Allegedly they are working on life/death issues. So I wonder what the price will be for being stylish.
The ‘democrat politicians’ have gone full Nazi on their staffs and their staffs are saying enough is enough and heading for the tall grass. Fascism just doesn’t seem to be their cup of tea.
