Men need to “shut up and listen” to women if they want to address toxic masculinity, actor Benedict Cumberbatch has said.

In a new interview with Sky News following the release of Power Of The Dog, in which Cumberbatch plays a wealthy ranch owner in 1920s Montana, US, he said there is currently not enough recognition of the advantages men have over women in society today.

“There is not enough recognition of abuse, there’s not enough recognition of disadvantages,” he said.

You know what, man, you're right. As someone who spent years in the visual arts scene I can tell you that had I wanted to indulge (was married at the time) I could have had more lefty, "artsy-fartsy" woman ass than a toilet seat. They just love (grudgingly) masculine, rough and tumble guys although they'll often rail against them publicly.

I hear you. I’m 72. I do have skills that are still in demand, so I have clients rather than employers. I gave up having employers more than ten years ago only to have clients that stick like glue. My niche is designing and building electronic instrumentation and then writing the software for them. I also write the software for the PC side of the wire or radio.

I saw very little of that in my college years because I was married, worked full time (no time for a social life anyway), and got a computer science degree (what few women were in most of my math and computer science courses weren't the brainless Reagan-hates-poor-black-gays types).

As a parent who has grown kids (both sons and daughters) I can tell you that the people who loathe feminazis the most are the women like my wife and daughters who hate the feminazis giving women in general a bad name.
