The few Sopranos episodes that dealt with black organizations didn’t exactly paint them in a good light.

At least Johnny was faithful to his wife, despite her weight. I don’t even think he had a goomah.

Except in the remake, Tony Soprano (by Woke Law) will have to be a homosexual black man and his wife, Carmela, will be a transsexual (a post-transition biological woman) Asian man. And instead of a strip club, Tony’s legitimate business will be a vegan restaurant while his underworld business will be stealing and re-selling carbon credits and Tesla automobiles.

I wonder who they will have playing Anthony Imperiales’s character.

He won't have been born yet, or would be a toddler at most. The new main character is his father, Tony's uncle Dickie Moltisanti (Carmela's cousin).

In one episode an FBI agent asks Carmella if Tony knows anything about the Kennedy assasination and she replies Tony was 3 at the time.

So that would have made Tony in the original series born in 1960, and 7 years old during the Newark riots.

Soap operas do this a lot—a child character disappears, and returns a couple of years later as a young adult. They even have a funny acronym for it: SORAS—Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome. In Tony's case, they seem to be subtracting age, a la Benjamin Button.

The actor who played Sack has been appearing from time to time on other law'n'order shows as a judge! It's a hoot! Can't recall —maybe The Good Wife or Law & Order SVU.

And in the end Tony had no allies left, with Silvio out of the picture.

It’s really not difficult to know the ending. Like Chase said, “It’s all there.”

Pardon my last post -- I confused Anthony Imperiale, politician, with Michael Imperioli, cast member.

Yeah, once you’re in The Sopranos it kind of defines you.

AJ’s last girlfriend was on NCIS for years.

I wonder if they would carefully explain what SPONGE means?

Of all the cast members, Drea DiMatteo and particularly Steve Schirripa have made the greatest leaps forward in terms of breaking their Sopranos typecasting. I love watching Schirripa as a District Attorney’s investigator on Blue Bloods. He is a very interesting man. Half Jewish in actual life, but raised Catholic. Wrote a bunch of humorous books, produced a vegan spaghetti sauce, and seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

The scene when Bobby Baccalieri was at Uncle Junior’s and made an entrance in his camo hunting gear just slayed me! I loved the Bobby character. The scene where Janice fixed the last of Bobby’s dead wife’s ziti out of the freezer and he was so mournful—wow. Great actor.

Yeah, Bobby became one of my favorite characters. He was much different in the earlier seasons, I think Janice had a lot of influence on him.

I must say, my all-time favorite scene was Tony saying, “What’s French-Canadian for ‘I grew up without a mother’?” He knew how to push Janice’s buttons.

And you are correct, Emily Wickersham (AJ's girlfriend Rhiannon) has totally broken out of her Sopranos role. Sadly, she is leaving NCIS now. I really liked her character.

I’m telling you it’s striking how different ...negatively...I see Tony this third time I’ve binge watched....my wife had never seen it.....we are in it now.

Season five episode 7 or 8

Blundetto just killed Peeps and Phil’s brother...

My wife is mesmerized by it.....I told her it was good maybe the best...it is the best to me.

I bought it in DVD from Aussie bootlegs back in the beginning to catch up

I’d definitely take Charmaine over Carmela.....Charmaine is not beautiful but is sure sexy ...

Both though are screechy

The Vito gay crap was brought in by girl writers.....of course Michael Lombardo was the HBO projects gatekeeper back then and he made no secret he wanted homosexual content including in things HBO green lighted

I hate it when it’s so obviously just gratuitous for the sake of queerness.....like so and so has a person of color love interest

Butchie is my favorite character in the whole series....most authentic ....to me...and I knew some genuine bent nose in my day up there....

Great scene, indeed. My wife was driving by that gas station while the scene was being filmed.

I just hope it’s called the 1967 riots. More and more it is being referred to as the 1967 rebellion.

That was the 2000s. Before Obama even got into office! Dis be da woke era now. I saw the origins of this in cable shows since: Unnaturally added characters of color to add diversity and they are not only on equal footing, But they possess the moral high ground when compared to the main characters, especially if both are bad guys.

One theory is that Rhiannon was planted by New York at AJ’s rehab place.

She was at the house when Carmela was on the phone saying they were going to Holsten’s that evening. How else would Members Only Guy know where they were?
