Of all the cast members, Drea DiMatteo and particularly Steve Schirripa have made the greatest leaps forward in terms of breaking their Sopranos typecasting. I love watching Schirripa as a District Attorney’s investigator on Blue Bloods. He is a very interesting man. Half Jewish in actual life, but raised Catholic. Wrote a bunch of humorous books, produced a vegan spaghetti sauce, and seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

The scene when Bobby Baccalieri was at Uncle Junior’s and made an entrance in his camo hunting gear just slayed me! I loved the Bobby character. The scene where Janice fixed the last of Bobby’s dead wife’s ziti out of the freezer and he was so mournful—wow. Great actor.

Yeah, Bobby became one of my favorite characters. He was much different in the earlier seasons, I think Janice had a lot of influence on him.

I must say, my all-time favorite scene was Tony saying, “What’s French-Canadian for ‘I grew up without a mother’?” He knew how to push Janice’s buttons.
