New Jersey state trooper Michael Patterson was on patrol recently when he pulled over a white BMW for a routine traffic stop.
He asked the driver for his license and registration, and the two started making small talk. It turned out that the driver, Matthew Bailly, is a retired police officer from Piscataway, a township in central Jersey.
Patterson grew up in Piscataway, and they soon realized they knew some officers in common. That’s when the chitchat took a remarkable turn.
“What street did you live on?” Bailly asked Patterson, 26.
“Poe Place,” Patterson replied.
Bailly always remembered Poe Place, he told Patterson, because he helped deliver a baby in a house there as a rookie. You don’t forget something like that, even almost 27 years later. Bailly said he even remembered the baby’s name, Michael.
Patterson’s mind raced — he was born at his parents’ house on Poe Place. Patterson had heard the story countless times from his mother: His dad called 911 in a panic. A police officer showed up to help.
Patterson put the pieces together and blurted out: “That was me.”

Wrong paper! It was from the Washington Post! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/inspired-life/wp/2018/06/13/this-trooper-pulled-over-a-driver-then-realized-the-man-had-delivered-him-27-years-ago/
Did officer give the driver traffic ticket ?
He talked his way out of the ticket this time. The license plate had a cover on it.
Kamala has been looking to re-use one of her few ‘good’ speeches. The one where she ends “That Little Girl was ME!”
She’s hoping to meet an police officer like that.
It would provide great Selfies and silence all the Haters for a couple of days.
I remember that busing BS from my youth. My older brother was bused to a majority black High School where they they routinely beat him up. Obviously concerned for her other children my mother moved us to another part of town where we did not have to participate in this insane liberal experiment.
I am sure it was posted here in 2018 when it happened.
“I normally pistol whip speeders, but for you, just a ticket.”
I searched but it did not come up. Of course you have to know what the keywords were.
Would have been a whole different story if he’d been pulled over in Bridgewater. :(
All that stopped when I threw some kid down three flights of stairs. At least that was the story that spread around.
Actually, a black kid grabbed my notebook, and when I turned to brush him off, he tripped and fell on the landing. I just kept going to class and thought nothing of it. It was hours later when I heard how the story had grown. I now had a "reputation". Strange how that worked. I had the good sense not to contradict the story.
We all got along just fine afterwards.
I heard a similar story. A boy was being harassed and he pushed the guy who was annoying him. The kid tripped and fell through a window. From that day forward he was known as the guy who tossed kids through windows. Nobody bothered him anymore.
Yeah, a time about 18 months ago!
They are not holding over 500 patriots in the DC Gulag for nothing. They either seize permanent power to crush the opposition or lose everything. They are not calling the opposition White Supremacist terrorists by chance. They need to dehumanize them now for when patriots start fighting back later.
Wonder if he punched him back for slapping him as a baby?
I never did deliver a baby during my time on the force. One day, while I was working desk sergeant at Northeast Patrol in Dallas one night shift, an afternoon patrol officer came in late and said “Hey sarge, I just delivered a baby in a taxi cab! It was awesome!” Of course, sentimental old me stated “Well, Mr. Officer OB One Gyno Kenobi, if you show me where you’re a baby doctor in the manual, I just might sign your overtime card!” I think his hand gesture was meant to show me how he helped work the baby loose or something.
The Systemic Oppressor went to the oppressed man's home and met his oppressed family in a joyous reunion where they did not understand they were suppose to be intractable enemies.
Nice!
