Most common handgun rounds are very scarce everywhere if not flat un-obtainable. Every now and then Rural King will have some but they are gone in less than hour.
Most defensive rifle ammunition is very hard to find. .223, .308. & 7.62X39 is very, very scarce.
12ga & 20ga shotgun is scarce as well.
Some on line services such as Cheaper-Than-Dirt has ammo if you want to pay $59.89 for practice grade 9mm or $29.89 for Wolf brand .223.
Americans are worried and the local gun stores and big box stores are out of any defensive firearms.
Who put your refresher course on, if you don’t mind saying? An individual...a shooting range?
TIA.
I had one of those too, discovered a few years ago, but mine had ten individual 50-round bixes inside. Shot from a couple of the small boxes ok, but had been keeping it in an ammo box with a seal.
Daughter’s kids are old enough to enjoy and ask to go.
Hated to tell them I’m such a lousy boater.
Ammo is scarce everywhere except ironically .22
Firearms are in shirt supply in stores too
Bingo
Have u had bad experience with Turkish shotguns
Odds are yes
Ive got old peters paper shotgun shells that still shoot fine
1960s-70s
I bought 500 rounds of 357 Magnum, hollow point so I'm good with that stuff.
I also got over 1,000 rounds of 38 special, 158 gr {I like the heavy load} and another 500 of 30-06.
I have not been back to Dick's since then.
I hope I never have to use any of this stuff for self protection, but I still love to just go out and shoot, and get a coupla doe each year.
I stopped shooting buck probably 20 years ago, I have enough racks, and the doe are so much better eating.
It was at the Tacoma Sportsman’s Club, by a gal who has a business called Lock and Load Em (her name is Emily). She gets a classroom and a designated part of the range just for her class. Cost me $150, so I don’t know if she rents the spot, or what. There were 16 of us in the class. Was lots of fun. She’s been doing classes for 14 years, certified NRA instructor, etc. She’s pretty well known around here and has contacts at a lot of different stores. When they get a shipment of ammo in, they set some aside for her classes. She told us if we go to Sportco in Fife and ask for a guy named Matt, to tell him we took her class and he just *might* be able to find some ammo in the back... I might be stopping by this week.
Yep. Pretty much any 45ACP, 9mm, 38 Special and even 22 cal is basically out of stock pretty much everywhere.
Yep...for a while (in June/July) .380 was available locally. Now, I cant find it anywhere. Still get the occasional ammo shipments in, but they are gone in 2-4 hours as everyone texts everyone about the new shipments.
Ammo is scarce nationwide.
Was at a “gun” show last week.
Kinda misleading calling it a gun show
If you find any, 9mm is going for $25-$30 a box of 50
One guy said Obama had all fed agencies order huge contracts for ammo and that contracts are still in affect and ammo makers are at capacity trying to keep up.
For reloading, small pistol primers are very hard to find.
If you were trying to limit public availability of ammo, go after just one key component, buy it up and all other components are useless.
Primers are THE ONE component that many cartridges share.
Liberals have started buying guns, fearing what is happening.
Of course guns without bullets are useless.
Be afraid, be very afraid of an old "fudd" with a scoped bolt...especially if he's carrying a S&W pinned 357 crossdraw!😎
No offense, but where have you been? It’s been like this for months. You can’t even get primers any more.
Thanks! Will have to look for a similar instructor, here in SE TX.
We have several clubs, nearby, so...I’m hoping they have a similar class/set up.
Thanks, again, for the details.
Have fun shopping!!
Ammo stocks are about wiped out. AR-15s are selling like hotcakes, and the lame stream press about a “rifle that can kill millions with a hose of bullets” is a big selling point right now. .
Not all Turkish shotguns are cheap, and I would put the Derya MK-12 AS-103GP (sold in the US as the Rock Island VR-80) up against any Saiga or Mossberg or Remington.
