Fell in love with Conad...
Hey Adder, we thoroughly enjoy the prowalk tours on YouTube.
My wife and I have fallen in love with Italy. We would like to visit the Amalfi coast in the future.
The Amalfi is fantastic. We stayed in Massa Lubrense, it’s small and quiet. Take the ferry ride, I think it leaves from Sorrento. Positano is a favorite visit. South of the Amalfi about an hour is Paestum, Paestum - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paestum
Amazing Greek ruins you can wander right through. A cool little museum also. Makes a nice day trip from Amalfi after the first few days.
It is absolutely beautiful. We are watching the Napels walkthrough right now.
Be sure to arrange to see the Coast from the sea. A boat trip to the Isle of Capri will do it. The Isle itself is moderately interesting, but the view of the Amalfi Coast from the sea is unforgettable.
The Torre Normanna (http://www.ristorantetorrenormanna.it) is a very nice restaurant in Maori with beautiful views. It's an ancient Norman tower.
In Venice, la Fenice (the Phoenix) is my favourite restaurant, although the Cipriani Hotel restaurant is very good.
An unforgettable experience in Florence is the Castello del Trebbio, still in private ownership, where a nice dinner can be arranged, the food and wine grown and processed on the estate. (https://www.castellodeltrebbio.com/en/castle-florence/)
But there are so many fabulous place in Italy!
Okay if we check with if we ever make the trip?
The Florence walkthrough was very nice too. And the Forum, Positano, Amalfi, the trip to the top of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii. Napels at Christmas time...
“But there are so many fabulous place in Italy!”
And I haven’t touched Sicily yet.
Rome, required. Just walk.
Orvieto area, Tuscany.
Orbetello, seafood.
Venice, because Venice.
It goes on and on.
We are getting real estate ads on YouTube for the area. Lol.
Search for this: Civita di Bagnoregio
Check the photos.
We live on Italy youtubes, Rick Steves, and food,,,glorious food videos like Pasta Grannies and Italia Squista.
Absolutely love the country.
Hope they will let us back in soon.
Delightful. I love it!!!!

Used to be the Daniel Excelsior or Gritti Palace for me in my salad days
We don’t see the bad element. My wife loves looking at the shops as the camera pans by. She loves the clothes. Oh and the fish markets.
Cool. Reminds me of Asisi. Beautiful. :)
Agreed. The covid insanity is hurting people in all countries.
There are newer walk through videos since the beginning of the pandemic. No crowds. :(
I wouldn’t want to fly these days. The airports were bad before, they are probably impossible now.
So the only way for us to enjoy Italy is to watch the prowalk tours. Almost like being there without the hassle of travel.
