This is an obvious, well deserved “screw you” from Costco to the hoarders. Historically, Costco’s return policy has been “Whatever, here’s your money back.”
I don’t get the problem? For real are they going to stop going to the bathroom anytime soon?
Just hold on to it and store it in a cool dry place and it should last them for as long as needed. They just won’t need to buy toilet paper for a long time unless the whole family comes down with the runs or eats at Toca Bell a lot.

My mom probably has her usual “Why did I buy all this?” stockpile so I’m not terribly concerned.
She said that Sam’s is letting people buy ONE each of any item they choose, and no more.

Ya, it probably outlasted their cash, and the reason why they want to return all those cases they panic hoarded for money to buy food.

I don’t know about big box stores but my grocery store throws away any/all returned food, no matter what.

10 cents on the dollar for your TP, Spam (the meat by-product), tuna, rice, soup, bottled water, etc. Scam the scammers and screw the hoarders.
I agree with Costco. The feasibility of their longstanding generous return policy depends on customer good faith. To hoard and then expect Costco and/or its suppliers to eat it when you refuse to live with the consequences of your own hoarding is unreasonable.

They can donate the surplus to their local food pantries.
Good move too, because once that stuff has been in people’s homes, you don’t know if it’s been contaminated.
By restocking it, they could potentially be exposing someone else.
If they let every bozo who bought 9 24-roll multipacks return them their stockrooms will be so stuffed with toilet paper you won’t be able to turn around.
you have to hand it to Costco....they have a brilliant business model and not afraid to tweek it as needed...

Smith’s, one of our local chains has signs reading there are no returns and no refunds. I love it! Let the hoarder be screwed.
