The NBA has suspended its season.
"The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight's schedule of games until further notice," the NBA said via a press release.
In the same release, the report said that Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.
"The test result was reported shorty prior to the tip-off of tonight's (Wednesday) game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Center," the release said. "At that time, tonight's game was canceled. The affected player was not in the arena."
Toronto played the Jazz on Monday. Right near the end of the game Gobert and Toronto player Anunoby got into a scrap and both players were ejected with 40 seconds left in the game. Gobert felt he was unjustly ejected and vowed his next ejection will be justified. I imagine Anunoby and the rest of the Toronto team are being tested right about now. Hopefully this suspension of play will last a month or so and play will resume then.

Seems extreme to suspend the season. I wonder if they will wait a few weeks, then as things get back to normal, they will just never make up the missed games and move straight to the playoffs.

Don’t worry, when things get stupid, the stupid get going. It’s going to get worse and more outrageous before it is under control which will be after the November election.
