The NBA has suspended its season.
"The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight's schedule of games until further notice," the NBA said via a press release.
In the same release, the report said that Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.
"The test result was reported shorty prior to the tip-off of tonight's (Wednesday) game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Center," the release said. "At that time, tonight's game was canceled. The affected player was not in the arena."

This is getting stupid.
While speaking to reporters from the media center on Monday (not the locker room), Gobert finished up his press conference by touching all the microphones, recorders and phones left on the table. He was making a point about the global fear stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.
(kind of like just the flu crowd..just wait until YOU get it)
Imagine if today we had typhus, typhoid fever, cholera, dysentery, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, and every other disease known to man still endemic in the US.
Its well beyond stupid.

No, it isn't. We want to keep the healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed. If we slow the spread, through social distancing, it greatly helps in that cause.
FR's ostrich crowd is very disheartening. I have family who are at-risk, and frankly, I may be too. I swear many here, because they're retired, just panic at the idea of their 401K dropping value, more than they care about stopping a panic, or even the _future_ value of their 401K.

Agreed. Even my mlb team they plan to suspend the opener. I have a bigger fear of getting AIDS from faggots at a gay parade than getting corona virus at a stadium.
