As a native Texan, some of my earliest memories involve Whataburger. I love Whataburger. It's always been a matter of pride that me and Whataburger share the same birth city, Corpus Christi, Texas.
As a youngster, I remember the Whataburger on 14TH street in Kingsville, Texas. Since those days, I have always seen Whataburger as a step above any "fast food" burger out there. I absolutely love that I can walk into a Whataburger at 7 AM and order a burger. So the sellout to a Chicago investment company hit me hard.
I tried to maintain a wait and see attitude. Well, I can confirm the worst. The food quality and portion size are down.
Monday before Christmas I walked into the same Whataburger I have visited many times and ordered my usual. 38 minutes later, I had my burger and fries, which I had ordered to go. (I never go through the drive through, just a thing).
My order was wrong, not like I got somebody elses order, just wrong. Nothing what I had asked for happened. The burger was noticeably smaller ,and was the worst burger I've ever had from Whataburger.
It hurts me to the core to say this, but I'm done with Whataburger. It's right up there with McDonalds as far as I'm concerned/
It’s like how many lifelong Dems feel about their party now.
Those I go to in Denton county are still okay.
In and out.
WTF?
Some outfit bought out Whataburger!
Those with same employees still put out the same old Whataburger
Being from Indiana, I’ve never had a Whataburger, but have always heard good things.
Still good whataburgers here in New Mexico. Come on over. No long wait.
My Whataburger memory- as a TXDOT employee, I was out on a bridge deck pour on I 35W many a night. Eating at the Whataburger on Western Center was a welcome break at 1:30 in the morning.
Dry burgers. The standard for a good burger aint what it used to be. Juicy, flavorful burger only available at home anymore it seems. Fear of health inspectors forces restaurants to overcook them. Take away all the condiments and fast food burgers are not tasty. If you must, Culver’s butter burgers.
I have asked several locations to cook me one.
*What?
Yes, just like in your commercials. That you will cook me a burger when I order.
*We don't do that.
They can't even nuke in a microwave to melt the cheese.
The salt? They dumped seasoning the meat years ago.
Five Guys, like them best.
Love IN N OUT as they are so fresh. Whataburger is good but takes forever to get your food and it is more expensive than the competition.
Nearest Culvers burgers to me is in Mesa, Arizona. I’ll keep it in mind next time I go there.
Didn’t have any Whatabugers in the north country. Had White Castle, tho, if you like gutbombs.
Hey the libs in Newsweek love them...so it may soon be the end

In-N-Out Burgers are the very best bang for the buck. Great taste and great price. Five Guys are very good also BUT, they are seriously Overpriced.
We had a Culvers just open near us recently. Never heard of Culvers. Gave them a shot. Great burgers. Great price. But, you have to wait in designated waiting areas to have them delivered so, if you’re in a hurry this could be an issue for you.
