Klobuchar, Buttigieg Criticize Warren’s Refusal to Admit She Would Raise Middle Class Taxes

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.) and Southbend, Ind. mayor Pete Buttigieg criticized Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) during Tuesday evening’s debate over her refusal to admit that her Medicare for All plan would require an increase in middle class taxes.

“Let me be clear on this. Costs will go up for the wealthy. They will go up for big corporations. And for middle-class families, they will go down,” Warren said when asked if her proposal would require an increase in middle class taxes. “I will not sign a bill into law that does not lower costs for middle-class families.”

The response drew a challenge from South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg, (snip)

“A yes or no question that didn’t get a yes or no answer,” Buttigieg said. “Look, this is why people here in the Midwest are so frustrated with Washington in general, and Capitol Hill. No plan has been laid out to explain how a multi-trillion-dollar hole in this Medicare for All plan that senator Warren is putting forward.”

After Warren responded by stating Medicare for All is the “way we get health care coverage for every single American,” Bernie Sanders added, “as someone who wrote the damn bill” that “it is appropriate to acknowledge that taxes will go up.”

Klobuchar then weighed in and took aim at Warren, casting her Medicare for All plan as a fanciful and politically unrealistic commitment.

“At least Bernie’s being honest here and saying how he’s gonna pay for this and that taxes are going to go up,” she said. “I’m sorry Elizabeth, but you’ve not said that, and I think we owe it to the American people to tell them where we’re gonna send the invoice.”

Liz choked. Well the fact is, everybody’s taxes are going up under her. Way up, because her pipe dreams will increase the annual budge over 35%. That is an equal percentage increase

Lizie if taxes go up for businesses, who winds up paying those taxes? Wil the businesses just earn less and make less products, or wil they pas those taxes onto people who buy their products, ie the middle class?

Stupid commie cow.

At a minimum to pay for Medicare for all would involve adding a 15% to %20 payroll tax on top of everything else coming out of your check. That is what she doesn’t want to to talk about.

Dang, I wanted to reply to Jim Robinson’s own post but he pulled it.

People didn’t realize it but the New Green Deal was already implemented in the Obama administration. Trump overturned it but California and Los Angeles where I live are still full force ahead.
It’s the Agenda 21 thing. Gang bangers and professionals living in apartments together and taking public transportation on piss soaked seats with the richer people paying for the poorer.

Remember Obama bragged he had confiscated more land than any other president and made them National Parks so we couldn’t capitalize on their resources. Just last week they were talking about turning farmland back to its natural state.

Under Obama, 20 percent of the highway funds were for public transportation and bike lanes. California is still trying to build the high speed train to interconnect cities. And the train stations are being built up with high density housing surrounding them.

In that study listed below, Driving and the Built Environment, they determined that Americans would rather live in single family homes but recent immigrants would move into apartments. So Obama had every city report every two years on income inequality and how neighborhoods, not cities, but neighborhoods are building subsidized housing. California keeps trying to make laws where 8 story apartment buildings can be built in single family neighborhoods and that neighborhood will not be able to resist it. When that apartment building is built, then the neighborhood has to provide public transportation and bike paths.

Transportation corridors were to house the uneducated poor people with the rich paying for them. The idea was that if everyone lived together, then everyone would attend the same schools and have the opportunities. They didn’t consider that good kids wouldn’t have a yard to play in. They would have a common park with gang bangers.

They even went after Beverly Hills for their effort to thwart low income housing.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has his eye on 47 cities that he says are not complying with a state law that requires them to plan for the construction of affordable housing.

Obama knew this when he forced every city to report on income inequality.

This is what President Obama had planned for us:

Strategic Plan Fiscal years 2012-2016

President Trump undid what Obama did. With Dr. Ben Carson they view public housing as a stepping stone to self-sufficiency. They give job training skills to people in the projects so they can move out of the slums. Dr. Ben Carson opened up opportunity zones giving tax advantages to people that opened up businesses in poor neighborhoods where the majority of jobs come from the surrounding neighborhood.

There’s no way to fund all the collective programs they want unless they strip down the middle class. Rich people will just take their wealth somewhere else in the world.
