They’re out for blood.

Self-cloning super-ticks are sparking worry in some as the insects recently were linked with killing five cows by sucking their blood dry in North Carolina.

Asian longhorned ticks were first found in the U.S. in 2017. Earlier this year, an article published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases noted that the first man was bitten by one of the pests in New York State.

Possums and armadillos can also save if you are lost in the woods.

Find one and they will lead you to the nearest highway.

A possum eats 5000 plus ticks/day.

Being as how I'm a tick-hater, I checked that out right away.

What I saw was an average of 5000 ticks a season.

Oppossums just went on The Good List.

No, that would be Australian ticks.

Recently saw a picture of a hand holding an adorable little sugar glider. The caption said: “not everything in Austrailia can kill you. He may wants to but he can’t.”

Guinea Fowl are great tick eaters, too. And, cute! And they lay eggs for you. :)

A tiny tick attached itself to me when I was in NYC. Took a photo of it to get a better look at it. Appeared to be a dog tick but it didn’t bark as I flushed it down the toilet.

How do the Asians deal with them?

They export them to North America. It's part of China's retaliation against the Trump tariffs.

Yeah, oops. Thanks for the correction. They are really awesome for getting rid of a lot of stuff, like mice. I wish ours was still here...

It would be nice if you could semi-domesticate them - get them to stick on your property and provide them with food and shelter in out-of-the-way places where they wouldn’t feel threatened.

Free range chickens. We should be filling up our forests with them. They eat anything that moves.

Great. As if having Alligators that can climb trees isn't enough to worry about...

...now we have ticks that can drain all the blood out of you.
