When the U.S scored their first goal then the player did nothing. When the Brit scored their goal she did something with her hands, imitating eye glasses or something. This may have been payback for that.

Poor sportsmanship is dishonorable and disreputable. When a sportsman accomplishes a fear, he behaves like he’s done it before. This was a trashy act, and shameful.
I’m a believer in Karma, and what goes around coms around....we’ll see how this ends up.

There’s something sickening about Women’s soccer and their idiotic celebrations after scoring.
Watching Fox and their pregame yesterday about made me want to hurl when it got to the point of idolatry for these pampered brutes playing in the world cup.
The lack of sportsmanship (yes I sad ‘man’), respect, and graciousness of these players is shocking.
I hate the US Women’s Soccer team and the way the media portrays them. It’s absolutely appalling!
England dipped into derangement after Steph Houghton’s penalty was saved, with Millie Bright sent off and Demi Stokes dropping the ball to concede a foul throw, while the US shepherded out the match with inevitable efficiency; doing just enough, as in the quarter-final against France.
The ship of sportsmanship sailed away. Pandora opened the box. The cat is out of the bag. Taunting your opponent is now the norm pretty much world wide. Us older people who remember a more civil time are just going to live with it.
On another note, of course a large percentage of top female athletes are lesbians. They were when I was a kid. They just didn’t discuss it. And, of course lesbians are generally in conflict with conservatives. We are the ones who disapprove of their lifestyle.
So, what has really changed here? In my opinion, the difference is modern communications. The computers, the Internet and almost unlimited 24/7/365 news and sports has made it impossible for anyone in the public eye to have a private life or express an opinion without it being public. The real difference here is that we are aware of all of the foibles that were unknown in the past.
These women are the best in the world. Admittedly it’s an awful, boring game and their skills pale in comparison to men. So this is what we will have for the foreseeable future and we can choose whether to watch or not, but whining serves no useful purpose other than to help us identify others who agree with us.
