God parted the waters above AND BELOW the earth...

Genesis 1:7

And God made the firmament,
and divided the waters which were under the firmament
from the waters which were above the firmament:
and it was so.

Florida is one big aquifer. It would be easy to imagine fresh water exits around the Florida coast.

One can fish for salt water fish in Lake Texoma. (It’s about half as salty as ocean water.) It has to be mixed with fresh water before it is drinkable in the north Dallas suburbs.

Same think still in the Persian Gulf. They get fresh water from springs on the floor of the Gulf.

Blackbeard Is. on the coast of Georgia has the same reputation. Ships could pass over and get fresh water for drinking out of the sea.

I think it was part of Grey’s Reef, but, due to the pumping of fresh water on land, the water table is too low for it to come out any more.

The Bible says this is where the Great Flood came from.

Interesting list. May take hours to read it.

Water, water everywhere but nary a drop worth drilling for beneath my place. At least not within more than 1,000 feet and it is iffy once you get there. My water well is the biggest thing I miss from my previous two places. Great rate and equally good quality. It was wonderful.

1000, wow -- here in Michigan you can pretty much stick a pipe in the ground and water comes out. The well here is from about 1960, shy of 200 feet deep, and so hard it rings when it hits the sink. :^) The aquifer is the Marshall Sandstone.
