Trump primary challenger Weld says he feels 'terrible' about anti-abortion laws

Former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld, who is challenging President Trump for the 2020 Republican presidential nomination, said Saturday that the government should not interfere with a woman's right to an abortion.

“The way I look at it, it’s kind of a power issue,” Weld said while campaigning in New Hampshire, according to The Associated Press. “And who wants a lot of big, fat, white guys who live in Washington 700 miles away making the decision about what’s going to happen about a family pregnancy where the family has basis for some views and maybe wants to terminate the pregnancy.”

Weld reportedly added that he felt "terrible" about the passage of laws that place further restrictions on abortion. He also said that he's “the most pro-choice person you’re ever going to meet," the AP noted, a stance that breaks with much of the Republican Party.

Weld's comments come amid increasing scrutiny on states that have passed laws that curtail a woman's ability to receive an abortion. Last week, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R) signed into law the most restrictive abortion policy in the nation.

Hi.

Well, it isn’t too late to abort Weld.

Weld is nothing but a pimple on an elephant’s ass.

So Massachusetts gave us Weld, Mitt Romney and my leftist sister. Mitt and my sister came from Michigan, by the way.

Not anything for MA to be proud of. And we shouldn’t listen to the words of stupidity from any of them.

“'And who wants a lot of big, fat, white guys who live in Washington 700 miles away making the decision about what’s going to happen about a family pregnancy where the family has basis for some views and maybe wants to terminate the pregnancy.'” - Weld

Instead of "a lot of big, fat, white guys who live in Washington," how about consulting the "Supreme Judge of the world," as acknowledged by America's Declaration of Independence, and whose word is recorded in Holy Scriptures, about the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment which, to this day, has not been rescinded by any "big, fat, white guys," to our knowledge.

Weld, who hasn’t been mentioned in the MSM for at least ten years, has played the “abortion card” and suddenly finds himself quotable once more.

The idiot didn’t even realize it was a State’s rights issue. He is right, Washington should have nothing to do with Alabama’s rights. Stay in Mass. Idiot.

This seems a bit beyond the pale to me.

Big fat white guys? What does weight have to do with the abortion issue? What does race have to do with the abortion issue? What does the sex of our duly elected representatives have to do with the issue?

So then, only slender females who are member of a minority group, are allowed to make laws regarding abortion, or have opinions about abortion?

Based on his criteria then, a big boned black woman such as Stacy Abrams cannot weigh in, because being fat is a disqualifier per his own criteria.

So then, is he a racist, by excluding someone such as Stacy Abrams from the debate?

Abortion is a weight loss program

You can lose 7-10 pounds in a single afternoon...

Relatively speaking this guy actually makes Mitt Romney look intelligent. However, add their brains together, and you only come up with a tenth wit.

So Weld will run as the abortion Republican.

I wonder what his other no-so-Republican positions are?
