Today following its event at the Steve Jobs Theater, Apple released the latest major update for iPhones and iPads: iOS 12.2, Ryan Christoffel reports for MacStories. This version of iOS launches Apples just-debuted subscription service for News, includes support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on compatible TVs and streaming hardware, plus it brings four new Animoji, and more.
Coinciding with the announcement of Apples grand TV plans, iOS 12.2 brings key system support for AirPlay 2 on compatible hardware including streaming devices like the Apple TV and the newest TV sets from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio, Christoffel reports. You can now use Siri on iOS to start and control video playback on AirPlay-compatible TV hardware.
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Downloading now, thanks!
I’ll wait a couple weeks until you are done beta testing it...
Two pads and a phone. No issues thus far.
Still no AirPower? That’s the only thing I really want from Apple right now - the services they rolled out today are of zero interest to me. The cheap Anker and Samsung Qi chargers don’t work half the time.
As long as we get more animoji...
Does iOS now only get the TINY WEB
by banning websites, authors and conservative & Christian ideas.
Which iOS version will get the WHOLE WEB?
Apple doesnt censor the web.
Thanks for the ping.
Apple News+? Yawn. More magazines I won’t read.
Apple TV original content? Meh.
Apple credit card sounds interesting.
The one that sounded interesting was Steven Spielbergs re-load of Amazing Stories. Also M. Night Shyamalin is going to do a series.
Where did you get the idea that Apple’s iOS censored parts of the web? Someone has been feeding you false information ... LOL ...
Did it, too ... and I’m trying out Apple News+ on a trial.
Censorship does not exist.
That is because censorship is indistinguishable from reality.
So enjoy your Apple iOS TINY WEB.
Steve Jobs died by the way, in case you did not get the memo. It is now heavily Chinese.
The TINY WEB is mandated at levels by certain computers, OSes, Apps, and Browsers.
But the red pillers are off on to the broader WHOLE WEB.
I have node where you get the idea that the web you get buying an iOS device is different than the web you get using any other computer. Someone has been ‘messing with your head’ ... I think ... LOL ...
I will instead keep to the WHOLE WEB, thank you.
You can keep to your name calling, ad hominems, which are learned and accepted in the TINY WEB.
You appear to be making up insults that no one made to you ... LOL ...
I love it when someone who does not use Appleproducts tells those of us who do what we can and cant do with it. We have ZERO problems navigating to any locations on the web, including the Dark Web. You really dont know what youre talking about.
Just because you dont know how to do something doesnt mean others dont.
