The rule is that you're supposed to delete your offending tweets and then apologize profusely, explain that you were young and stupid and now you are mature and woke.
Kevin Hart wouldn't do this, until finally he did. He deleted his tweets, apologized, AND QUIT!
He wasn't supposed to quit. He was only supposed to beg and grovel. That's all the Academy was asking for.

Not that I give a rip about this sort of thing but here are a couple of thoughts.
The Oscars appear to be affected by Metoo movement collateral damage. How about picking a female that doesn’t rape or fondle? And why not a thespian instead of a comedian?
If you guys want ratings, ask President Trump to host. He’s going to be the only person you all talk about anyways.
This way they can explode with idiocy while proclaiming “hey, that was not the official host” at the same time.
I was thinking more along the lines of Harvey Weinstein.
My interest in the A A is about 13 steps below my interest in the NFL, and that is nil.
Doesn’t matter, they may still name the wrong film when they pull the letter from the envelope. It’s happened before.
How about this, just print the list of winners online and be done with it?
Award shows suck. They went political in grandstanding, insults, and who is awarded.

Kevin Hart never should’ve faced this scrutiny. Even if he made statements some aggrieved group or another disagrees with, even if it was today, SO WHAT?? When we lose our freedom of speech and the freedom to disagree, we lose our freedom.
By floating the idea of going without a host the leftist libtards are basically admitting their own hypocrisy without actually voicing it. What they have realized is that their dogma is rooted in such institutionalized hypocrisy that no-one can live up to it. Virtually anyone they select as a host will have something in his or her background to offend one protected group/class or another.
They are acknowledging that their rabidly trained and indoctrinated "we're offended by everything!" troops will immediately pounce on any would-be host, researching any past transgressions with a fervor that would make everyone from Gobbels to the FBI proud.

All of the people with the technical skills who MAKE the productions look and sound so good get their awards elsewhere
