JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ-It took Jackson police officers and first responders two shots of narcan to bring a 49 year old overdose victim back from the brink of death on Friday. After being revived and spending a short visit in the hospital, the man called Jackson Police headquarters and wanted to know where all of his coke and heroin went.
Police did not charge the man, but seized his stash of drugs as evidence. Apparently he wasnt happy about it.

Cops: How much you got?.....................
These junkies are just going to go out and get another fix as soon as they can. Whats the point of rescuing them? A lot of resources expended on them that could be going to worthy victims.
—SNIF— “How much, what?”
LOL, tell him they only took half of it and hid the other half, fella will tear his house apart.
I know a couple who had a heroin addiction back in the late 80s early 90s. They got it back together, stayed married, and their daughter is ok as far as I know. It happens.
Exactly
He should file a lawsuit! Good chance he’ll win...
His actions seem like the height of ingratitude, and may well be, but keep in mind that this man is still addicted, and is going to keep acting that way.
That (drug addiction) is a dark well that anyone could fall into under certain circumstances. If one is taking strong meds for pain, never forget that they could very quickly become habit forming.
When I go to the dentist, I want all manner of pain relief.
I am not embarrassed to ask for it. When I leave the dentist, I try to only take the minimum meds for it.
Thankfully for all of us, the govt will pick up the tab and tax us for saving this mans life....this time...next time, and maybe even the time after that.... Could be millions...
The only good heroin addict...
IMHO, the Narcan thing is a "one and done". One dose, one time only. You have an opportunity to turn your life around, what you choose to do with it is up to you. But make no mistakes, the taxpayer isn't going to rescue you from yourself again.
Just as an intellectual argument... if the police didn’t charge him with anything, why should the police be allowed to seize anything from his house?
If they felt the drugs were illegal, they should charge the man with possession, and then they may have grounds for seizure.
Maybe it is a “deep dark well that anyone can fall into” Mr. Virtue Signaller, but the ones who have fallen into it have no right to drag everybody else down with them, which is what they do with their lying and stealing and betraying to get their next fix.
Let’s do everything we can to drag everybody else down too, shall we? Be sure and tell them how evil and selfish they are for resisting.
Inevitably, after the "f*** you" to the rescuers, the first question is, "how long until I can get high again?"
Society hasn't quite got a grasp on this problem.
They found illegal drugs in his house while responding to an overdose and they did not charge him. What did they do wrong? Did they need a search warrant or something. This guy needs to go to jail. Or maybe it’s too expensive to work a junkie through a withdrawal and they just don’t want to deal with it at the county or city level.
If the cops charge him, the drugs become evidence, and then there is the extra step of getting them out of custody before they can be resold.
You have to think these things through.
Arrest him! And his dealer.
Ferguson Effect. Anything cops do is wrong.
Best they can hope for is next time the cretin ODs nobody notices in time to call them.
Did not charge him... Why? I just answered this earlier but I had another thought. Maybe they want to follow that guy to his source and bus that. Because you know he’s going to go get some more.
