Ssschev cleverly flashes the red laser light when it appears they may be tiring of the chase, and they go after that instead with great glee and bounteous energy. Texokie wonders where in the world they get that energy!*

*The clicking of keyboards and other sounds of diligent scholarship float down the hall from the LexiQon and Oracle offices. LexiQon staff clearly are researching and proofreading (except for texokie, who is playing hooky at the moment.) Only one tiny little shifting sound comes from the Qanteen Qloset, but stops after only the one episode. Someone must have sorted out the shovels and the piles of books and papers that were in there and put them in some kind of order. *

*Greeneyes comes in from the Garden complex after a hard day getting some of the over-winter beds into shape in the greenhouse. She relaxes with us on a bean bag and takes the laser from ssschev, who is collapsed in helpless laughter at the two Qanteen Qatz’ antics. He gladly hands it over to greeneyes because instead of tiring the kitties out, they tired HIM out! Greeneyes draws designs on the wall, and this is so incredibly alluring to the Qatz, that grey whiskers comes in and joins them. Wildhighlander plucks some catnip from the dwindling supply from the window box (which had to be brought in from the cold) and the Qanteen Qatz gave it their all until, purely tuckered out, they seem to run out of gas, and collapse into a kitty heap on the pillows under the Steinweigh and go immediately to sleep.*

*Several other FReeQs come in with another tray piled with Owl and Pumpkin cookies. Some enterprising cook had also made some cute bunny cookies and gorgeous butterflies. Sammiches also make an appearance, as do the large popcorn bowls.*

*Blu and the Qarage Guys come in and remark about how the weather up here at the foot of the mountains is turning brisk. Ichabod1 regales the gathered FReeQs with what they had been up to that day*

Pretty soon, we will need to stoke up our first fire in the fireplace. We were inspired so we organized a firewood cutting party. There is some deadfall out there, so we gathered up the chainsaws and took off. Blu drove the extended bed pickup truck deep into that glen overlooking the creek. She didn’t even get stuck in that lob lolly on the way! Made a mess, though!

*texokie is grateful to blu that the chainsaws have been stored in the Qarage rather than the Qloset. She contemplates the possibility that serious damage to her legs would be even worse than what the shovels deal out, if the saws had not been out there in blu’s custody. Ichabod1 continues*

Steven W. led us to the first one. It was a BIG old spruce. We were able to slice the limbs off really easy! Blu did such a great job of sharpening those chains! Like BUTTER!! I tell you, it was like BUTTER!!

Then blu hauled off the limbs while the rest of us were working to get the tree trunk ready to pile into the truck. We made some section cuts, and one guy with a chain saw made it into smaller pieces and his team would take them and pile them into the truck. It was like a ballet! While they were doing the final disassembly of the trunk others moved to the next tree.

Blu got her turn at a chainsaw and impressed all of us with her technique. We’re wondering if at the next Spit N Whittle Qlub, she is going to just dazzle us all and do a chainsaw carving! It’d be just like her!

It was a great afternoon! We had a big two gallon thermos of hot Qovfefe, lots of sammiches and side snacks. Cletus D. thoughtfully provided a full cooler with access granted only with a chorus toast of, “Qavanaugh’s BEST!….I LIKE BEER!” *all Qanteen lumberjacks joined in shouting that toast, as ichabod1 was explaining it* Just look at that truck! We did GOOD!

*texokie and the company of FReeQs in the Qommon Room go to the window and look at the truck, which is heaving over with two trees’ worth of firewood. The truck is very massive and tough and quite mud splattered... but texokie fancies she can see its relief at being back at the Qanteen with its tongue hanging out panting at its exertions of the afternoon. All are admiring the prodigious amounts of firewood cut and ready for the fireplace. Mother of Dragons speaks up*

WOW! you guys did GREAT! It is a terrific start! We need to do a few more of those in the next few days so we can fill up that firewood cradle. We are in the valley here, and it tends to be a little warmer with the way the wind patterns are, but the snow will be here soon. I’d like to go on the next firewood haul!

*Shouts and murmurs of agreement meet this announcement with the prospect of further group outings in the offing. As if to emphasize the importance of her words, the Q Qlock on the fireplace mantle makes some of its peculiar whirring noises as it prepares to deliver its time pronouncement. There are some resounding little clicks, and then the door pops open, the baby owls in their nest come out, and from another door, the mother owl comes out and bobs over them “feeding” them. They all hoot very loudly and disappear. Then the gathering is treated to the loud “BONGS!” counting the hour. Everyone laughs at this - they can’t help it. KitJ, Storm Flag and CJWolf who had come out to the Qommon room when they heard the commotion, along with AZNascarFan, USMC79to83, go out to the truck and bring in some wood and start a nice blazing fire which warms things up to a nice cozy ambiance.*

*WNeighbor, generally, mairdie, fatima, LouisianaJoanof Arc; and LucyT decide that the fire is so nice that it demands S’Mores. They pile a cart with all the fixin’s - the graham crackers, marshmallows, and Hershey’s. They snag another few odds and ends from the fridge and cupboard, like the nubbins of various cheeses to go with the different crackers and chips to sort of round out the festivities. *

*Aquamarine, Jocko Manning, little jeremiah, stars$stripes forever, johnsmom and nanetteclaret come down the hall from the Quiet room, drag bagster and Swordy away from their computers, and join the group building their S’mores.*

*Typelouder, pink pig, and Conservativesister each grab a boneless Qat and cuddle them while munching on their snacks. All are working to catch up on the thread, researching, watching the news with eyes alert for the “BOOMS!”, planning Red Pill and meme campaigns, and of course watching hopefully for the next Q DROP. Above all, we are trusting Sessions, Wray, Rudy, and the PLAN….because, as we all know…. We are now in the middle of RED OCTOBER!*

#28 - thanks Swordmaker. Can you boil something down for me? Are all iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices being hacked right now with these chips?

So sorry not to get back to you in the old thread. . . but I have been busy with work outside of FR. Sometimes Life Intrudes on the really important stuff, you know.

No, they are not. These chips and the claims being made on Bloomberg are BOGUS. . . they don't exist. All of the sources are ANONYMOUS and not a single source from any other news organization has been able to validate anything about the Supermicro compromised motherboards and NOT A SINGLE EXAMPLE from the THOUSANDS of motherboards in use has been found. NONE, ZIP, NIL.

The whole thing makes zero sense as such an added chip would stand out like a big red flag on even a cursory quality control scan. . . causing the entire run of motherboards to be discarded.

Apple's goods, actually like Supermicro's are designed in California, and undergo EXTREME vetting by Apple. They are computer Quality Control checked against a reference model, and also checked electronically. Apple's logic boards, like the Supermicro motherboards, are multilayer sandwiches of circuitry, which would require major re-engineering from the ground up, something that takes months, to add even one minor component, much less a component with multiple capabilities. It is just not possible to do without it being noticed, or compromising the function of the device.

Apple has complete control of their entire widget. . . and Apple is responsible for QC. So, no.

Also, as I responded on another thread, not one single compromised server was ever installed on either Amazon's or Apple's cloud services EVEN if you believe Bloomberg's tall tale. . . because even THEY SAID SO in their original article which stated that both Amazon and Apple found the problem during due diligence testing before they ever installed any.
