About $1,600. That's how much it will cost you to have a Note 9 with 1TB of storage.
Samsung's new Galaxy Note 9 comes in two configurations -- a 128GB model with 6GB of RAM for $999.99, and a 512GB model with 8GB of RAM for... wait for it... $1,249.99.
Now that 512GB model already offers twice as much storage capacity as the higher-end iPhone X (and much more RAM, for only $100 extra).
But where's the fun in only having half a terabyte of storage? That only allows you to store about 2,300 movies, or some 93,000 photos. We want the full terabyte!
Remember that the Note 9 comes with a microSD card slot, and microSD cards up to 512GB are now out there, opening up the possibility for monster levels of storage.
For a price.

And to think I gave around $1,115 for my Note 8 with 256gb of memory and I winced all the way but $1600? ) Base price $949 and $165 for 256GB expanded memory after the fact). Insanity, sheer insanity.
This will be available for about fifty cents.
Yep. Windows 3.10 came on 6 floppy disks. Less than 10 Mb.
I am in agreement that at some point before I leave this mortal coil that I will be able to fit the equivalent of the LIbrary of Congress in my pocket. It will also be sold by Amazon for $19.99 a month with Prime; $49.99 a month without prime.
A few years and you won’t even bend over to pick up a 1TB SD card
Heck, I remember when we first started playing around with Visicalc at work and got an error message - MEM kept flashing on the screen.
We had to get the manuals and saw we had exceeded our pc’s 64k memory capacity.
Reckon I could keep my dinosaur for calls and use a new 'phone' for portable, offline entertainment only.
The current two CDMA phones are sufficient for calls and cost $60/yr total for both.
I don't do txt or anti-social media, and am not at all interested in spending a small fortune per month to be all fancy/hip.
I’m happy with my $30 used Samsung flip phone!!!!!
Yes, I bought it used..
I gotta have one. I could sell a spare kidney or liver to buy one I think.
Kindred spirits, FRiend .. LOL !
My first computer (Early 1980s) used CP/M operating system and had a huge 5 megabite HD that I believed could never be filled up. It was the size of a small fridge. WordStar was king.
I have several external 1TB drives I’ve bought from garage sales for 5 bucks.
Storage is just dirt-cheap.
I bought my first 1GB CF card back in 2007 or 08 for 40 dollars on Black Friday and thought I got a sweet deal!
I have so much information stored on my 80 GB laptop, I can’t find 90% of it. I am trying to simplify my life, not complicate it.
And John God Bless him will be driving to go reboot the servers during the 2028 election
I can remember going into startup files and unloading some drivers just so a certain game or program would run,, fun times
I forgot to add that my account with Sprint goes back to when they came into existence. Lived in SoCal when they ran their first “Free and Clear” ad. Anyway, something like that sometime in the mid 90s. To this day I still pay $15 a month for a 100 minutes. Works out just fine.
And the side benefit is that I still verbally communicate with friends, family, neighbors and most anybody “<)))))). Key word “VERBALLY”
Roger that verbally .. I thought that’s what PHONES were for ? lol
Left out “face to face” verbally.
