Senate Minority Leader, Democrat, Chuck Schumer declares, many Democrats running for political office or, re-election this year do not want to appear publicly with ex-POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama, fearing the "Obama Kiss Of Political Defeat" will fall upon them, based on the past devastation Obama has caused in losing over 1000 legislative seats...across the boards over his term in office.
Obama has a proven record of having massive negative political impact on Democrats that he has given his endorsement to.

Some political figures have what is known as a “Midas touch”, everything in their vicinity turns to gold.
Then there is the variant on that magical quality, the “Minus touch”, in which things just seem to turn to - fecal matter.
You used all your political and moral capital getting the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” passed, and have enjoyed the fruits of its popularity since then. The Supreme Court ruling declared the act a “tax”, and therefore Constitutional.

there is only two types of democrats. those who love Obama and think he is a great and those scared to be known as hating Obama and being labeled a racist. it is funny there are lots of Trump supporters during the election that were uncertain and had trepidation to admitting there support for Trump and now that the election is over there are lots of people fearful of admitting that Obama is not popular or loved by a lot of his party. I think that this is one of the reasons for the walkaway moment.
