What was supposed to be a flight to paradise turned into a smelly debacle when a problem arose with the planes restrooms.
A woman aboard an American Airlines flight to Kona, Hawaii, from Phoenix said passengers were being asked to urinate in plastic bags and bottles. She took video of a flight attendant asking her to go in a plastic bag.

And uh, pack some extra plastic bags too baby.
Oof!
This compulsion to videotape every little problem has gotten out of control. This is one of those times when it’s not necessary. The crew is not doing this on purpose, so who is the passenger planning to whine to on Instagram?
“Poor, poor pitiful me!!”
Was someone really ignorant enough to try to flush a diaper?
I don’t necessarily fault the passenger for filming the event. But I agree that the airline is not at fault, and the passenger should have kept that in mind.
I was wondering the same. I’m going to out on a limb and say yes.
Plastic bags? Whats wrong with empty plastic water bottles? At least they have a cap.
Between this flight and that Emirate Airlines “Hajj plague” flight,
yet another reminder that any future commercial flights I make will be via extraordinary rendition
Just another example of people not listening and obeying authority when required to do so. I’m old enough to remember when they did, for the most part.
Fly Emirates, fly Emirates, fly Emirates, fly emirates......
What if someone had explosive diarrhea?
No doubt a huge stink would have been raised about it.
Are you seriously asking that?
You remember Leno’s Man on the Street segments?
Isn’t there usually more than one privy on board a plane? 1 or two at the back and one up near first class?
Homeland security will just have to be more thorough in their security examinations if a passager is smuggling explosive diarrhea on a plane.
This ignorance caused much discomfort. That ignoramus ought to arrested for destruction of property and fined.
Going to Hawaii?
The water sports begin on your flight.
City people real do not have a clue.
I am inform they if they come to my house what they can not flush.
Talk to your local sewer guys. You'd be amazed. Kid diapers. Adult diapers. With airlines bathrooms shrinking to the size of coffins, where does one put a soiled diaper?
Urinating into an empty water or soda bottle on an airplane is difficult. The opening is just too small.
Urinating into an empty gatorade/powerade bottle on an airplane is immensely easier. The opening is only twice as large, but an order of magnitude easier to use.
Urinating into an airsickness bag is easy, and the thing is water tight. It MUST, however, be kept upright ...
