That looks just like a skit from "In Living Color" called "Lassie '90." LOL.

You’re welcome.
I know what’s it’s like to have shared many years with a wonderful dog and then have to let him go.
Leaves a big hole in your heart.

Most dogs are not trained. An untrained dog is a miserable dog. And it’s owner is miserable as well.

For what it’s worth, every one of the links in that posted article leads to a casino advertisement.......

It’s always fun until someone gets their face chewed off... which happens with alarming frequency. This summer seems particularly bad. How
Many have we read about, killed or maimed by these dogs, about 10 in the last 12 weeks or so?

You three dear hearts are welcome to go to a norski Chet 99 thread

And spew your fear and loathing about pit bulls

Till the cows come come home

Have fun

Bye

19 states now have laws in place prohibiting or restricting local jurisdictions from regulating or banning dogs by breed.

This is horrible. It's no business of the state to stick its nose into local matters.

Niece has a rescue pit bull......Had my reservations at first but it’s turned out to be a really loving dog for her and her son...and the rest of the family when she brings it over to her parents house......

Just like you are free to stay off Norski’s threads.

I find it very telling how little tolerance some people (pit defenders) have for opinion different from their own. I’ve noticed that pit bull owners tend to be as aggressive and nasty as the dogs they defend.

Those opposed to the breed focus on the breed and those who defend it have a strong tendency to be nasty to PEOPLE who oppose it.

World of difference there.

I’m glad Ray had a good life-finally-lucky dog-and thank you for posting a positive bully breed dog story-nice to see with all the hysterical pitbulls-are-satanic-kill-them-all-and have their owners hanged on the spot as well articles. There are two sides to every coin-and every animal. In a remote area like this there are mountain lions, 300+ lb wild hogs, packs of coyotes-and now, black bears, too-all can be dangerous and deadly to pets and humans. Plenty of big, bad guarding breed dogs here, too from Mastiffs, Danes (also on the bad doggie list),Chows and German Shepherds to American Bulldogs and Pit Bull Terriers. No dog attacks, no wild animal attacks-the only animal attack deaths in years were brought about by livestock-in one case a Llama was the assassin of its owner-in the other two, it was their Donkey...

I would not personally own a Llama or a Donkey-but that is just me-I prefer a horse’s temperament to either of those...

The restraining device that dog has around it’s neck tells me all I need to know about the breed.

Or maybe it’s just the doggie version of dog gay pride?

My dogs will only eat most brands of dog food for a time and then will reject it. I wonder if there is something in today's dog foods that may trigger something that pit bulls are particularly susceptible to. Same question with so many humans becoming absolutely monstrous. Which is interesting, we expect much better behavior from animals than we do humans.

Let’s see how you feel once that dog maims or kills someone. Especially if no one is sitting there with a 9 mm ready for it.

I love dogs. I have a wonderful dog I adore.
Any dog can attack.
However, the pit bulls were bred to attack. Their jaws ...if they attack..are unlike any other dog. Florida is known for breeding them to become what they are today...the genetic predisposition to attack and genetically bred jaws to be especially lethal.

Because for me personally it’s free Republic wolf pack behavior like Howlin and Siinkspur and their little gang used to pull around here

Non stop daily pit bull hate threads that go mad hominem on detractors immediately from folks who all the know about dogs beyond foo foo lap dogs is the sensationalism they read

Many here want a world where anything possibly unsafe is banned and everyone jailed

Like statists

Chetnorski posts nothing about other dog attacks which are significant

Pit bull attacks are more common because they are more common

I live in a rural area on acreage

My dogs aren’t your business or anyone else’s unless they start killing calves

I’ve owned over a dozen dogs from shepherds to Rotts to pits to hog hunting bulldogs to Dobies to giant schnauzer to duck dogs and treeing hounds and one Catahoula

Only one ..a bulldog ever bit anyone didn’t have it coming

We’re not all cat ladies or teacup people

And I have cats too and horses

And. Like chihuahuas and frenchies
