They’ve already found other breeds.

Cane Corsos, various Mastiffs/mixes, Fila Brasileros, Dogo Argentinos, etc.

They finally figured out Pibbles are worthless for guard dogs and have been embarrassed when people [like me] go up to their Bad Ass Dogs and get wiggles and licks instead of attacks.

*So* humiliating.

I disagree with that “timeline”.

It was GSDs in the 60s, Dobes in the 70s, Rotts in the 80s and then 90s for Pibbles.

I watched it all happen.

In the 80s, Dobes were passe’ and viewed as Wonder Dogs, thanks to the Doberman Gang trilogy.

The movie The Omen caused them to be replaced by Scary Devil Rotts.

The 90s and MTV cRap videos gave us the Pit Bull phenomenon.
