Vanity: Planning 2019 Summer Vacation to Trump-Friendly Country (ies)
Self ^ | 7/15/18 | Self

Posted on 07/15/2018 4:53:11 AM PDT by SilvieWaldorfMD

I travel to Europe every other summer. My mother is Italian and she spends about 6 months out of the year in Southern Italy. She comes from a village nestled in the mountains in South-Central Italy, in the Puglia Province. In recent years, she has indicated that the mass migration of foreigners has changed the make-up of the province -- more crime, more drugs, more trash and more people wandering about, homeless. Crime in her little hamlet had increased by 70%!

I told her that I would not be visiting any European countries who have been jerks to President Trump, nor will I visit any European countries which have allowed this mass migration to run amok. In fact, it just so happens that today marks the 3rd anniversary of my trip to England, Scotland and Wales (July 15-25, 2015), which I'm grateful that I visited when I did, because I would not want to step foot in Britain again - not even to change planes at Heathrow - after the loud & obnoxious leftists gave that very unwelcome greeting to POTUS and FLOTUS.

So, I've condensed my list to a few nations that are friendly to Trump and which also don't have mass migration issues. They are: POLAND, HUNGARY, AUSTRIA, CROATIA, SLOVENIA & ISRAEL.

I will not spend my hard-earned money in countries that dislike Trump or the USA. Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions?

Happy Summer!

Not going to England or France again. Germany is off the list. I used to live in Maryland, moved to WV for tax relief and 2nd Amendment rights. I try to stay out of Maryland, NY, NJ, Mass and CT.

There’s no reason for invaders to hit Puglia, the handouts are in the cities and northern Italy. Southern Italy is full of what the invaders DON’T want: Hard Work.

Thought about Morocco. Not interested in the Far East, except for the South Pacific: Australia.

Already been to South America in my youth. The last place I visited was Venezuela in 1996. My, how things have changed!

How about Portugal? I read an article recently that indicated Portugal had pretty much missed the muslo-immigrant invasion. Don’t remember the article. Also don’t know if they’re pro/anti-Trump.

You’re not missing much here. I live in Southern Maryland (Charles County). It’s become “Little P.G. County” in every sense... the school system has become the O.K. Corral... Love Gov. Larry Hogan — he’s done quite well and I hope he wins re-election in Nov.

Croatia/Slovenia are #1 on the list. Heard great things about the peninsula, Split and Dubrovnik.

Looked at prices on different travel catalogues, including Collette Travel and CIE, and indeed prices to Eastern European countries are cheaper than Western Europe.

They even have a few trips to Israel that are cheaper than going to Britain or Spain.

We took Collette in July on a British Landscapes tour and were impressed with the service, the tour & the tour manager.

I love Puglia! Thanks for your post - I will let my mom know. She’s concerned that tourism will dwindle.

Or Sicily? I love that island...absolutely beautiful. Stationed there in the mid-70’s and been back a few times...not recently though. Its a GREAT place for history and tourism...tons of sites to visit. The people, the food, the culture...all wonderful. Note...it is a poor island, so there isn’t a lot of glitz and glamour outside of the three main cities...Palermo, Messina and Catania. But you HAVE to get out of those cities to see the real Sicily. Do not miss Taormina.

I’ve read it’s a main landing location for immigrants from Africa, but they’re secluded in immigrant centers until they’re given paperwork. At that point they quickly leave the island because there’s nothing in Sicily for them. Unemployment is very high, jobs impossible to find, and Sicily is too poor to offer benefits to the freeloaders...so they move on to the richer northern European nations. I’ve read that you don’t see many immigrants walking Sicilian streets.

Of course, check out the safety on your own.

OK. That’s right across the river from Castle Hill. IIRC its near Vaci Utca which is one of the nicer shopping streets in Budapest. When you go there, hit Cafe Gerbaud. Its got a lot of beautiful old world charm and the pastries in Hungary are really good. I’d recommend you order a Turos Taska. Its like a light bread roll with a cheese filling that’s like sweetened cottage cheese plus raisins and its got powdered sugar on top.

On Castle hill there is the Halasz Basztya (fisherman’s bastion), the national art museum and the beautiful Matyas Templom (Matthias Church). If you can, see if you can find a chamber orchestra giving a performance in the church one evening. It doesn’t cost that much and the accoustics are just excellent.

I’d also check out the Gellert Baths. Budapest sits atop the 2nd largest mineral hot springs in Europe and there are some really nice baths. You might also want to check out heroes square. Its got a couple of museums there as well as Vajdahunyad castle and another city park.

One big vote here for Croatia! It is spectacular in its beauty and friendliness. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Hungary, of course is the country leading the way in trying to stop Europe from transitioning to Islam, so definitely worth a visit, although they’re a bit weak in English.

Croatia and Bosnia are very friendly countries, and speak excellent English (surprisingly). Bosnia is pretty amazing, they still keep some burned out buildings as reminders of the war, but otherwise you’d never know it happened. Sarajevo is now 95% Muslim, but the only ones that dress-up or act that way are tourists from other countries. You’d swear you were in central Paris (before the conquest), in that city.

Poland is very good too, as they also seem to think that it’s in their interest to remain Polish. Same for Romania. Austria has already been invaded, but they are trying to get control of further invasions.

That’s my take!
