my daughter has had a crush on Bruce Willis ever since she stayed up w/o permission and watched “Moonlighting”! Die Hard is the best. Yippee Kay-A!
me too
Well, then there’s “Coming to America”. Imagine today’s race baiters having fits over that one with both Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall’s caricatures of racial stereotypes. Eddie Murphy doing the older white guy in the barbershop is still funny to watch.
I believe ya about COCKTAIL...
I remember the scene where the really hot wife wanted to bang TC and he amazingly said no (I would have LOL) and she said something like “I screw around, what do you want me to do?”
TC says something like “Yeah, it’s called marriage”. Plus the funny part where he told the professor in the class who always ridiculed everyone’s business idea...
TC says something like “the reason why you’re here because you couldn’t make it in the real world”..rofl
Are you saying you should be faithful to your best friend's wife, or not cheat on top of your best friend's wife?
Yup. The “McDonells” vs McDonald’s scenes (he didnt want to get sued for copyright) was hilarious too.
I know where John Carpenter lives, plus MOST of the scenes were shot in his house’s backyard in the valley. It’s YUGE.
R.I.P Roddy Piper.
"They Live"
Starring "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
Bagster
Surprised Bull Durham is not on the list. One of the better ball flicks and I remember having to be on a waiting list at my local video rental place to rent it when it first came out, lol. And I think “Dangerous Liasons” has it’s 30th anniversary too and also “Good Morning, Vietnam” and “Big Business” (Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin). Back then, I subscribed to PREMIERE magazine and still have my 1988 to 1991 issues, complete with movie collector cards and scratch and sniff cologne and perfume ads.
I’ve seen 6 of those.
A banner year for movies. Like 1939 of another era.
I recently spent a few minutes near a TV where BLAZING SADDLES was playing. I was gobsmacked at the numerous uses of the N word, and that there seems to be no outrage from the PC police.
Lets go back to the 30’s!
Most of those films SUCKED 30 years ago.
I just ran out of Old Spice——could you send me a couple of those cologne scratch-cards?
I never heard of most of these.
Greatest Christmas movie ever.
I think Beetlejuice was the last film I saw in a large screen cinema
The line was huge! The movie was Meh...
Give me:
1, Die Hard (”You ask for a miracle, I give you the F-B-I.”)
2. Rain Man (”K-Mart sucks!”)
3. Young Guns (”Dear Judge: I’ve decided to surrender to your men. yours truly, William Bonney PS I’ve changed my mind; kiss my ass!”)
Pretty much in that order.
