Starting Watermelon, Chives, Yellow Squash (don’t know where I will put them) and Carrots.

Maybe go vertical with the squash. Even in a pot. Last year I planted a cuke plant in a pot and stuck a tomato cage in it. Once in a while, I had to train it a bit.

If I can find dirt - I’m gonna be short on pots. And I just started 12 squash plant seeds. Partial-package from last year.
Wonder if I can grow them under the deck. Not any Sun in late afternoon, of course.

Yeah, they might get 6 early morning. I may have to move some of the onion bulbs out of the bigger planters. To somewhere. I haven’t planted about 20 bulbs. Maybe I can put them in with the carrots and watermelons.
But I think I only had 6 plants going last year in those pots. Now I have 12 that will start.
Hoo-boy - well, we’ll see.
Big round Japanese. Wanted an American, couldn’t find one. This is the one I told you I had to threaten (was a stick for over a year) when I did that, she started growing.
I have seen native American persimmon trees in catalogs quite often. I am surprised.
Sometimes, there’s just not enough space for the amount a person wants to plant. LOL
Greetings from southern New Hampshire, where spring has dropped in for a short visit, and will be leaving tomorrow as a wintery mix is forecast.
I rerouted and repaired the plumbing between the duck pond and the bog filter and the ducks approve, as does Household Six. Also had to latch down the waterfall feed in the pond under the pergola in the garden. It got moved by wind or critter and drained the pond. That is all squared away.
The autopsy results on the bees was, big surprise, mites. This next week, I will clean the bottom boards of both hives in preparation for the arrival of the new packages, next month.
Household SIx’s seedlings are doing well, down in the basement.
The last, lingering snow pile, what was shed from the north side of the Chicken and Duck Chateau, is nearly gone.
We are driving over to East Wakefield, NH to visit our 5th wheel. Need to take measurements of the deck for outdoor carpeting and the side belly box for a larger TV. We have honed “roughing it” to a fine art.

Here in CNY, I’ve been able to start turning the soil over.
That’s about as far as we’ve gotten.
I actually did plant some scallion seeds and b=put an old under the bed box bottom over it to make a mini cold frame of sorts. They are actually UP!
However, we have an ice storm warning for today for the whole state and VT and NH and part of ME.
Spring has nowhere near come yet and we are sick of it.
On the bright side, I suppose, is that there’s no danger of losing the fruit tree crop due to an early bloom and late freeze. The trees are nowhere near setting their buds.

Neat, I would like to grow wheat or rye.
I have LOTS of wheatberries from Emergency Essentials that went rancid - I’ll NEVER buy from them again. They were less than helpful when I told them about it too...
Anyway, they do sprout so we figured we would broadcast them in the pasture one year. When is the time to do that, for a spring/early crop?
Neat, mine doesn’t have a bird option. I wish it did - the cats would go nuts.
I didn’t think the machine was really doing much to soften sounds until a few nights ago. My big male persian is a purr machine. I love falling asleep with him next to me. But with the machine on, I couldn’t hear him at all. At first, I thought he was sick, LOL! Then I turned the machine off and he was indeed purring away.
A purr would be a nice noise option too ;)

Not to discount what you’ve done, but we’ve found a local farm supply sells fertilizer pretty cheap, if you’re looking for a 50 lb bag. I got 8 bags for about $100 yesterday.
You don’t get all the options that HD or Lowe’s has though.
