Two pilots on different aircraft reported having close encounters with a mysterious object flying high above Arizona last month, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The sightings occurred within minutes of each other on the afternoon of Feb. 24, some 40,000 feet above southern Arizona near the New Mexico border. ABC News obtained the audio recording of the conversation between the pilots and the Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center, released by the FAA.

Arizona has a lot of open space and there is a lot of testing of experimental stuff there.
If you see it, you didn’t see it. Mum’s the word.
Spokesmen from Google did not respond to request for comments......too busy collecting data illegally along with FB for the DNC and Odungo
The Phoenix lights are best known by a video shot by a person from their patio, which video shows a series of lights appearing one after the other and remaining essentially stationary.
That it not a video of the lights which passed overhead.
There is a cell phone video of the actual lights. Grainy and short. Find it. If you can.
The actual Phoenix lights bear a strong resemblance to the Lubbock Lights.
Either way, it would look like it was going fast way to pilots flying at 500-600 mph the opposite direction.
Reminds me of a flight I was on in the late 90s... I was flying jumpseat on an American MD80 observing flight crew ops and listening in on ATC. At some point over Nevada, the Center controller called traffic at our 12 oclock (cant recall the stated range), but did not mention an altitude. I remember the pilot and co-pilot briefly glancing at each other and then responding to ATC inquiring about an altitude for the traffic. ATC replies... uh, its a bit above you. The pilots leaned forward and looked upward, as did I (MD80s had the little windows up high)... now we were at FL370 (37,000ft) IIRC, and way up above there was a tiny spec that had overtaken us and was quickly pulling away. Ive seen one other aircraft in my life that looked like a spec moving that fast... and that was a Mach 2 flyby of an SR71 at the Edwards AFB Open House in 1999... that time I was on the ground (rather than traveling M .78 in the same direction). No idea what it was... didnt get a good enough look, but it was fast, and ATC was fully aware of it... and knew it was above 60,000 ft as well since the controller was clearly not concerned about a possible collision)
Swamp gas at 40,000 feet??? President Trump really scared the crap out of somebody in DC.
#9. The Flying Burrito Brothers?
My rule nowadays is, if ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, HLN, MSNBC, etc. are reporting it, then it’s a lie.
I have flown more hours over New Mexico and Nevada than anywhere but my home of Israel.
There are weird things in the sky there.
I have no idea what they are.
(giggle)
THEM!
Alien space craft just dropping off another month’s worth of supplies for David Hogg.
Best guess?
The “U” stands for unidentified, which means no one knows what it is. It doesn’t mean extraterrestrial.
Let's face it a plane that can go fast enough that if it were just crossing the Pacific coast and heading for the east coast when it got a "land on the Pacific coast", order, would be over Kansas before it got turned around, can be hard to identify under even good conditions - the close the encounter, the harder the identification...
Lots of military flights out of Nellis, in Nevada. Could be......
The actual Phoenix lights bear a VERY strong resemblance to a string of parachute flares dropped from an aircraft.
I've seen a few of those, to say the least, and that was my first reaction when watching the video.
"Parachute flares dropped from an aircraft!"
Respectfully, I think you have in mind the more familiar video, and not the video of the lights which overflew the city as mentioned in my post.
