According to Reddit, the video was part of an ambitious kindergarten assignment that asked students to create their own weather forecast videos. I assume his Uncle has quite a bit of video editing experience...

Cute.

I don’t know; I don’t have a lot of experience with kids. But he seems a little advanced for ‘kindergarten’...

Based on his size, I’d put him at about 5 years old which is just right for Kindergarten.

My youngest grandson is 4 going on 5 and will start 5K in the fall. He definitely has the skills and personality to pull this off with some coaching.

In my day, we did not have kindergarten and 1st grade assignments were mostly with crayolas, over-sized pencils and Big Chief tablets. [Are those tablets even available anymore or has PC made them a footnote in history?]

Been a while since I laughed that hard.

Nearly spit my drink all over the PC.

How many computers did you have in your class?

Desktop computers were science fiction in 1954.

My first hand-held calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and square root — cost $150) I bought around 1975.

Science fiction is here. You'd be amazed at what kids are using these days.

When I was in school, it was a real status symbol to have a hand held calculator in 1975. I remember I got a Texas Instruments calculator that year after constantly begging my parents. It had red LEDs and really sucked down the battery which I think was a couple of triple As.

All it did was the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but it was the wildest thing at the time. I think mine had a square root button as well which made me extra special.

LOL Someone in the comments said they were from NBC and asked permission to use the video.

Kid has great positive personality and seems at home on camera. Sounds like he’s definitely getting some mainstream attention from this.

Me too! Sin, cos, INV and pi. It was a big chunk of change at that time.

This video was so cute! Spring Break! ROFL! That’s when I owned my TI!
