When I was in school, it was a real status symbol to have a hand held calculator in 1975. I remember I got a Texas Instruments calculator that year after constantly begging my parents. It had red LEDs and really sucked down the battery which I think was a couple of triple As.

All it did was the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but it was the wildest thing at the time. I think mine had a square root button as well which made me extra special.

Me too! Sin, cos, INV and pi. It was a big chunk of change at that time.

This video was so cute! Spring Break! ROFL! That’s when I owned my TI!
