I would say the record gun sales this last decade clearly shows that the silent majority knows that if the ballot fails, there is always bullets.

We should probably learn to spell it before we contemplate using it.

“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” — Winston Churchill

That was probably back when the books were still printed in English.

re: “The 2nd ammendment is useless...”

It is obvious that the OP has never heard the phrase:

“Carry much, shot little”.

Ask an elder plainclothesman about his pocket piece, and how often he used it, on the range or ‘in the nature of his business’.

Yes, the 2nd Amendment is meant for the citizen to have an ultimate answer for a government grabbing power it has no business grabbing.

It is also that the right of the individual (something that all governments fear and loathe) for self-preservation, and that is not dependent upon government to provide in their slothful manner, such protection.

I posted making the statement specifically to be shot down hard.
I am frustrated that with all that is going on that there is NOT a million armed citizens camped on the DC mall right now in a showing of armed force designed to terrify the Left, the media, and squelch their seditious actions against my country.
That is my motive.
“Carry much shoot little” is indeed what I hope for.
I fear that all I will ever hear is “you first”.
“You first” means were done.

New York is a pretty good example of how infringement of the 2nd amendment will be treated. In 2013 the NY state legislature passed the Safe Act which required all “assault weapons” be registered with the state police. Last I read there was like a 90% noncompliance rate.

The idiots who made the laws decreed that no magazines that hold more than 8 shots could be sold. It took a while for those geniuses to figure out that very few magazines had an 8 shot limit. So they ruled that no matter how big the magazine you could only put 8 rounds mag in it. I’m sure that the criminals are complying with that gem.

Most upstate Sheriffs have openly proclaimed that they will not enforce the rules. I have read that the state plans on getting more aggressive enforcing compliance. Best to keep a close eye on how they handle this. Could be a road map for future federal laws.

So correct you are. These laws were passed to placate a rather feeble minded segment of the population, with no regard to getting anything actually accomplished. Cuomo wants to run for Prez, some day.

A fire extinguisher... insurance... firearms... post-holers...

Lots of things I hope to never, ever use... and yet prefer to have around... that does not make them "useless".

If you have any questions about the New York gun laws you can call this Number,1-855-LAW-GUNS.

I’ve got a ton of questions to ask them. I want to call them at least a coupla times a day.
