Democratic opposition to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) has been increasing both in public and behind the scenes in recent months, and now even some of the minority leader's supporters predict she will soon step aside.
Democratic Rep. Bill Pascrell (N.J.) told the Atlantic he expects Pelosi to step down from leadership next year, no matter who wins the House.
"She would love nothing more than to win, and then she’ll get out," Pascrell said.
A number of Democratic lawmakers and insiders spoke to the Atlantic both on and off the record about the desire among some Democrats for Pelosi to step aside, with some saying it should even happen before the 2018 midterms.
While some of the Democrats who are critical of Pelosi have been consistently against her leadership, Pascrell's prediction is notable because he has been both for and against the California congresswoman over the years. He also hails from a heavily Democratic district and therefore has no risk of blowback for supporting the unpopular leader.
Pelosi previously said she might have retired had Hillary Clinton won the presidency in 2016.

My prediction is that she will attempt to remain in office as long as she can. The more inept she becomes the harder she will cling to power. For people like her, letting go of power is the same as dying. (McCain is in the same boat. Logic says he should have stepped aside years ago. Even though he is obviously dying, he won’t step aside.)
I had assumed that either (or both) Mclame or Grahmnesty were the leaders...
They’ll probably pick a real American like Keith Ellison, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee...
If they win the House she will be the Speaker, even if for just a half year or so.
But they won’t win the House and she will be run out of town.

I’m embarrassed for her. She clearly is aging badly but no one will tell her it’s time to retire. She is incoherent much of the time, and may be suffering from age related ailments. Again, no one has enough courage to tell her time’s up.

I’ve said she’s in level 6 dementia for the last year or so if not more. Either way she’s a worthless POS.
Ain’t gonna happen. But the Dems will probably tell voters that in order to neutralize her negative influence on their vote talley.

I agree even more so when considering the original opinion is from Pascrell, who attended the Booker/Schumer School of Emoting and is idolized by his Far Left Idiot voters as a consistent Far Left NJ S**t Head.
A lot of “crumbs” beneath her in the Dem pecking order. Not a deep bench of talent for the jackasses!
