It is estimated that POTUS, DJT gathered 47.9 million "USA" viewers for his first SOTU speech on Tuesday evening. That number, by the way, does not include foreign country viewers across the world or the hundreds of live feeds, of C-Span, Right Side Broadcasting, etc. The true estimate number is calculated to be somewhere between 55-60 million viewers across the world and on "Live Screen". That is an enormous "successful" number, that does include those folks that listened to the SOTU on radio, etc., across the world.
Now.....I have searched the entire internet to find the "massive numbers" (only kidding) of folks who watched or listened to the multiple "Democrat' rebuttal response speeches, but I have been totally unsuccessful in coming up with any number whatsoever. I suspect that very few folks "Maybe 1-2 million tuned in to the blabber, ranting & raving of the failing Democrat Party and, the Congressional Black Caucus" which has failed the Black American community across the board. In fact the "BET" TV network should hide its head in shame for giving voice to that lunatic Black racist, Maxine Waters. Case closed.....Trumpie wins, again, hands down!!! With Pelosi & Waters...the Democrats die a bit more politically.
I have wondering what IIIIIIIOboma had?
We don’t have cable, so we watched the SOTU on youtube streaming.
I watched the entire SOTU this year. I can’t remember when the last time was that I watched a SOTU speech. Probably when Ronald Reagan was president.
Are numbers available for other SOTU addresses? I would expect Trump’s to be much lower because of the MM hype of everything Obama..
Don’t have television. Listened to Fox live feed online but I listened only to the actual speech. I won’t listen to media spin on the speech from anyone. I think I’m smart enough to understand what the President was saying all by myself.
My first thought when hearing the numbers compared to Obama’s first SOTU was “what about CSPAN”? A lot of people who follow current events have gotten totally fed up with the major networks and turned to CSPAN over the past few years. CSPAN doesn’t keep a record of how many watched the speech and the pre and post speech discussions on that network.
So, does that mean 250 million don’t care or half that number don’t care and the rest are haters? ;-)
I have been watching SOTU speeches since 1956, and I can assure you most of them stink. Very few make the grade to very successful. This “Trump” one, was one of the most outstanding, SOTU, I have ever viewed. The only close modern one was given by POTUS, Ronald Reagan. Folks, America’s back alive and well!!!
The worst SOTU speeches were given by POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama, as he unsuccessfully tried his darnest to destroy the American people and, the American Republic.
Trump talks to the internet conservatives underground on the one hand and then to the plebes via cable on the other. Interesting.

There is no real accurate way to measure the actual viewership in total. For instance I watched the SOTU with five other people. I assume the number of watches go from one person watching to ten people watching, on individual TV sets. You can be sure millions of Americans tuned in.
I watched Billary, dubya II, obummer and now Trump. Was in places where we didn’t get tv or was a little to busy for Reagn and dubya I. Got a feeling for where things were going and figured wasn’t worth my time to watched anybody’s subsequent SOTU except for President Trump’s. I plan on watching number 2 and hope that I get to watch Pelosi squirm one more time. This might be her last though after the dimotards fail to win the House. Lol.

I always watch C-SPAN for speeches...why? they never interrupt with the hogwash commentary from their pundits, etc., who, most of whom, have no clue of substance, whatsoever. I did catch this one, on a friends TV on FNC.
The dates with * denotes a speech to a joint session of congress.
Likewise! I did not waste my time, my sanity with watching Bush (41), Clinton (42), Bush (43), Obama (44) all members of the "uniparty.
Better ratings than the NFL
The not so Super Bowl numbers will pale against POTUS.
I have to agree with other observers that one, this was the best SOTU address I've ever seen (including those by Ronald Reagan, who, God love him, did tend toward a little old time Hollywood schmaltz), and two, that the behavior of the Democrats was far more childish, churlish, and psychotically hateful than I thought even they were capable.
That they exhibited such hatred and disrespect for America and its people was also incredibly stupid. They sat on their hands and glowered at the mention of God for God's sake! Most people expect some decorum and at least a little respect for the office and applause from the opposition for sentiments we are all supposed to share. This president is indeed fortunate that his chief opponents are a House leader in the middle stages of clinical dementia, a Senate leader who could be type cast as Shylock, and in general opponents so clearly deranged as to put off anyone who isn't in the same state of rabid dog frothing rage.
