These idiots do not even understand nature. Predators establish territories that they defend against their kind. Herbivores often defend their grazing grounds. It is folly to separate humans from nature. We are nature.
This is exactly how Asimov ruined the Foundation stories. I was a huge sci fi reader as a kid. The second trilogy threw out literally everything that made the first great literature.

EPISODE SEVEN -
THE QUEST FOR MORE MONEY
The Star Wars franchise is dead. It is now a zombie shambling around as SJW Wars.
Disney has sucked the life out of Star Wars as it does with every creative property it acquires. Disney no longer knows how to make movies. It only knows merchandising.
I understand and agree with what you said.
But to make our beloved heros entire lives meaningless and miserable and then kill them offhandedly to be replaced with characters we really care nothing about is an insult.
The rebels are weaker than ever. Apparently killing the emperor accomplished nothing in the original trilogy. And if that were not bad enough, Luke lives out the rest of his life in misery and regret alone milking stranger animals tits, and then just ... fades to nothingness. WTH?
It would be like... making more Harry Potter movies that start with the death eaters in control for no explained reason (ignoring the original happy ending) and led by Ron’s son who is obsessed with killing Harry Potter, who is living alone after his Jennie divorced him. The series starts with Rons son using new powers to uttery destroy Hoggwarts and the Ministry of Justice. Harry also has cancer and could care less about the death eaters being in control and just wants to be left alone to milk house-elf tits.
Pretty much. They haven't made a decent Star Wars movie since then.
That’s kind of what happens when you continue a story past the “end”. Life goes on, there’s a new war, more bad guys, Patton dies from a weird car accident. It’s the innate problem with epilogues.
In other words, The Last Jedi was written by a loyal devotee of Karl Marx and its their message of Communism written on the back of the beloved Star Wars legend in order to spread their hate.
Is the woman the star/hero in this one?
If so, I’ll wait for the video...I’m way past tired of female heroes.
I thought it was: CASABLANCA 7: REVENGE OF THE ACTION FIGURES
I did not like the movie, very boring.
Of the three original stars, the two who died in the movies are alive and the one who is still alive in the movie is dead in real life.
I note this line from the article: "Having fallen in love with Star Wars from the time that I first saw it in the late 1970s, it brings this 45 year-old..."
That makes the author what, five years old when the first movie came out? Personally, I can't imagine being that wedded to a fictional character, but that's just me. I suppose Captain Kirk would be my Luke Skywalker from the perspective of the relative age (give on take) of the author to the introduction of the character, but I didn't melt down when the character was killed in such an unspectacular way. Again, that's just me.
I think you put your finger on it with appeal to subsequent fans. Consider:
The sad truth is that original fans from 40 years ago will soon be too old to experience Star Wars Land for much longer, but they might go with their grandchildren who want to see the new generation of characters that will be there for the next 40 years.

As someone who has seen all the movies but I don’t live and breathe them, this is the best and most exciting SW movie in quite awhile.
the issue is... people fought and made sacrifices for a better tomorrow .. to defeat evil..
yes, life goes on. But where was the pay off for the original sacrifices? The emperor was killed... the assumption was the rebels WON... peace would be restored ... the sacrifices made, worth it..
But this series starts off as if the war was never won... peace was never restored... the good guys never got back in control, ect. It just picks up as if none of the conclusions from the previous series even happened. Then systematically kills off every one we love and replaces with them a bunch of people we really don’t care that much about.
They should have just jumped further into the future if they wanted to start with new actors. After a 100 years of peace or whatever... evil rises again or some such. Heck they could have even kept Luke alive that long, since yoda was 100’s of years old, due to the force.
as a stand alone movie. Yes, it was good.
But as part of the overall story, it bit.
Wow! That analysis is so cynical, it must be true! :-D
1. Why is it that the Imperial officers have the Blue bars on top but the Director himself has his Red bars on top of his uniform as if his is put on upside down?
2. Rogue One was the only Star Wars movie that didnt have the scrolling words on the start of the movie.
3. In the final scene why did the death star destroy the imperial base as there were many of their troops & equipment on the planet? There were just a handful of rebel troops on the planet to be mopped up as they were vastly outnumbered but why destroy your own base to kill a few stragglers?
I understand and agree with that. How is it that the Republic was not restored, and that a new Dark Side was allowed to emerg to take their place **cough**cough** Soviet Union**cough**Vladimir Putin**cough**cough**.
What kind of Disney theme park would it be it everyone lived in peace and harmony, "It's a small galaxy after all..."
