I haven't seen it yet. I don't know that I will. I loved 'Star Wars' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' when they came out when I was a kid - got the graphic novels, the books, everything. I was quite excited about the prequels until I actually saw 'The Phantom Menace' - passed on 'Attack of the Clones' and 'Revenge of the Sith'.
This latest batch, though - 'The Force Awakens' had some good moments, but I couldn't get past the emo teen villain and the by now stereotypical and still ludicrous little girl overpowering men three times her size and strength. 'Rogue One' gave us a bunch of new characters I didn't care about, as well as another little girl overpowering men three times her size and strength. This latest thing has Mark Hamill, who has never been a very good actor, along with the usual Grrrl Power and the emo teen villain, and some storyline that sounds dreadful.
All good things must come to an end - I didn't realize it at the time, but for Star Wars, that end was the closing shot of "The Empire Strikes Back".
