Life expectancy has dropped because of antibiotic resistance, says ONS
UK Telegraph ^ | December 1, 2017 | Olivia Rudgard

Antibiotic resistance has caused a fall in life expectancy for the first time, the Office for National Statistics has said.

Life expectancy in future years has been revised down after the statistics authority said that "less optimistic views" about the future had to be taken into account.

Well, I guess it doesn’t remain a miracle drug forever. That’s unfortunately what I see the Armageddon Plague as, simply diseases that we have had since the beginning, but we have adaptation to the medicines used to treat them, so that our treatments no longer work.

I call BS.

Obamacare doesn’t want to pay for basic screenings like breast cancer, frequent colonoscopies and lots more. Less diagnostic work, less preventative work — more death at an earlier age.

I’m not sure how much antibiotics play into this, but the drop in life expectancy is at least in part about politics and money, not “resistance”.

Plenty of people die from antibiotic resistant bugs. Tens of thousands of deaths in the United States in one year from the superbugs. Many more deaths from antibiotic resistant bacteria than numerous other diseases that the media throws on the headlines. Then it’s even more a nightmare in the third world, where instead of actually treating dirty water, repeated antibiotic treatments of people for the same waterborne diseases have spawned antibiotic resistant cholera, typhoid, and other waterborne diseases.

Don’t get me wrong — antibiotic resistant bugs are real. I understand that.

But picture someone who is 83 and heading toward at least 85. But then they get pneumonia, the antibiotics don’t work as well as expected, and the guy is dead at 83. Statistically, does this affect life expectancy? Hardly at all.

Now picture a woman who is 45 and could have been screened for breast cancer, but wasn’t (not worth it). But she has cancer, it goes undetected too long and she’s dead at 45. Statistically, does this affect life expectancy? It sure does.

Because of money, the protocols for early detection/early treatment have been cut back. This has an affect on life expectancy. Putting too much weight on antibiotic resistant bugs is missing the point, and hiding the fact that Obamacare is killing people.

I have always said that the real proof that Obamacare is a disaster would be if life expectancy in the US were to drop. Now that is happening. And I will call BS if they claim it is simply because of antibiotic resistant bugs.

This is an article from the UK about the UK. It may be an early signal of what's next for us in the USA but it's not us yet.

Now that the both the tax package has been passed and the Dems/liberals are in trouble right now, taking down Obamacare has gotten a bit easier.

No, life expectancy has dropped because Western Civilization is being flooded with Third-World mongrels, bring in diseases we eradicated over half a century ago...resulting in an overuse of antibiotics.

Life expectancy has “dropped” because of Liberal DemocRATs who shoved ObamaCare down our throats! We now have third-world doctors filling the gap because many doctors left when DeathCare was shoved on us. Doctors spend 10-15 minutes with you and most don’t know who you are and most don’t care. Their accents are so thick you don’t know what they’re saying or asking. They hand you two or more prescriptions the Drug Rep promoted that have tons of side effects and the doctor sends you on your way. Life expectancy has dropped because Big Pharma and insurance companies have shoved “generic” drugs on us like candy. They have no idea what fillers are in them because they’re made in some foreign country where the drugs, for the most part, are not inspected. Add to that, the FDA has allowed clinical trials to be conducted with fewer and fewer people for shorter and shorter periods of time. We’re swallowing poison and eating foods filled with antibiotics, etc. If you doubt what I’m posting, do your own research.

I urge everyone to contact the Trump Administration and ask them to bring the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals back to the USA where they can be inspected to ensure they won’t kill us or cause side effects that drive you to the edge! We have to speak out now! How many people have you talked to who have had horrible experiences with generic drugs?? We’re their guinea pigs. Insurance companies are pushing these drugs because they’re making billions on the garbage.

I urge others to tell their stories as there are millions of them. Listen to the evening commercials for these drugs and listen to their “side effects” up to an including DEATH. Yes, swallow a pill that can cause death! No thank you. How many prescriptions do you walk out of your doctor’s office with? How many more do you get to combat the side effects?

I read an article some years ago that some doctors were very concerned about our ability to fight off even simple bugs in the future.

Their reasoning was that children no longer play outside in the dirt, rain, mud and snow.
By not catching the little bugs that produce sniffles and colds the youngsters never develop a healthy immune system as we older folks did.
Years later when the little bugs bigger, nastier cousins come calling the immune system has no “history” to fall back on and the person ends up sicker than his/her parents/grandparents would have.

The proliferation of antibiotic soaps and wipes hasn’t helped the problem either.
Even the adults are now getting the small illnesses less because they are avoiding the small, easy to get through bugs that keep the immune system humming along.

The over use of antibiotics by doctors is rampant.
Go to the doctor with a sniffle and cough and they load you up with antibiotics. The patients want something done NOW because doctors are supposed to be able to cure anything so the doctor obliges with 3 or 4 prescriptions that the patient may not even need.

Not every kid is a couch potato and not every adult rushes to the doctor for every complaint but much of the population does.

if life expectancy was correctly used in statistics it would have to include the pre-born genocide of those murdered in the womb. If I could do the stats I would, but I really stink at that.
