One person was shot outside a Missouri mall as swarms of shoppers looking for Black Friday deals saw chaos pop up throughout the country. An unidentified 19-year-old received life-threatening injuries after being shot in the parking lot of a center in the college town of Columbia late Thursday night, according to KMIZ.

They don’t call it “Black Friday” for nothing.
There were around a dozen major incidents last year. Most involving fights, massive theft, malls closing early with major police presence, etc.
Darn those “youths”.

One would think the big box stores would do their Black Friday promotions online with a means of randomly awarding coupons to its customers to be redeemed anytime the customer wants during normal operating hours.
Purely random with no discernible pattern. /s
Why I don’t go to malls. Youffs running wild, looking for a reason to fight, and to film it on their smart phones that you and I have paid for.

Yep - OTOH, I’ll stop by our local Walmart in a couple hours and will see a few extra folks but no hordes of people - the bigger places have their own malls and Walmarts so our area isn’t as affected....

I couldn’t believe the lines around the Best Buy yesterday at around 6:30pm on the upper westside of Manhattan. I thought the same thing!

To line up outside a store on Thanksgiving night to compete with a crowd of morons to spend the $ on items that can be bought at other opportunities with less chances of fighting baboons. Hello.
Thanksgiving day agenda:
1. Have dinner and fellowship with friends and family, giving thanks for what we have. Then...
2. Go the mall and shoot it up while grabbing stuff we think we want.

In defense of the shooter....those tvs were 50 bucks cheaper than usual.
Got to get that kwanza shopping done early!
I don’t understand the reasoning behind waiting in lines until the store opens. If the store runs out of the product you’re waiting to purchase, they have to give you a rain check that can be used when they restock........
